A Journalist, anchor earlier, today selling petty food items in the streets of Afghanistan n another journalist threatened to death earlier for wearing jeans

After Taliban government took charge of Afghanisthan regime, and US forces leaving it abruptly, the people of this war torn country for several decades, especially those with academic backgrounds, in service earlier and active journalism are in bad shape being constantly harrassed, tortured or even abducted being thrashed, compelled to live in constant fear.

Though media had been constantly highlighting the plight of the oppressed women of Afghanistan n their families in disdain, many of them migrated to India and other western nations to seek refuge, there are lot more leading shattered lives compelled to sell petty food items on squeezed streets of Kabul or other parts of Afghanistan.

Even once leading journalists having worked in several news channels during earlier regimes are today in very bad shape.

In one of the tweets , a gentleman having worked in the government of the then president Hamid Karzai , an active twitterati Kabir Haqmali has posted three different photos of a journalist on his twitter handle exhibiting as to how he was once a well suited journalist n anchor reading news and reporter as well, in well equipped news studio and today in Taliban regime selling petty food items ( snacks) in a small tray in a street sitting against a wall to earn for the sustenance of his hapless family.

The journalist in filthy attire in beard is expecting customers sitting with a tray of petty fiid items, but none there.

This tweet says : Journalists life in # Afghanistan under the #Taliban. Musa Mohammadi worked for years as anchor & reporter in different TV channels now has no income to feed his family. He sells food to earn some money . # Afghans suffer unprecedented poverty after the fall of republic tweeted Kabir Haqmal.

This tweet and the story of this poor journalist selling snacks in squeezed street of Afghanistan to feed his starving family goes viral in social media with hundreds of people responding , some asking him to come to India and some extending hand of support etc.

In Afghanistan after the fall of republic and entry of orthodox Talibans there have been restrictions on women and men prohibiting them serving outside, with women to wear Burqa mandatorily and men not allowed to wear jeans and western clothes etc.

In another tweet Haqmal highlighted the plight of another journalist who was tortured because he was wearing jeans.

Posting the video of this journalist he tweeted : This is Ekram Esmati, an # Afghan journalist. He was abducted by # Taliban this morning in PD5 # Kabul, beaten and humiliated only because he was wearing jeans and had his beared shaved. They illegally checked his phones and threatened him to death tweeted a former official under President Karjai government Kabir Haqmal.
