A HUGE MOUNTAIN FALLS ON TAWAGHAT NATIONAL HIGHWAY AT DHARCHULA PITHORAGARH LEADING TO TOTAL TRAFFIC JAM OVER KALI RIVER

You agree or not but Uttarakhand is actually on the verge of unending disaster with with a portion or the other of mountainous terrains coming down rapidly leading to tragedy c mishappenings. The excessive rains and increasing incidents of cloudbursts leading to over flooding of rivers are resulting in tremendous landslides and subsequent damage to properties on massive scale and loss of lives too. Due to landslides not only it’s mud in tinnes is coming down but huge boulders too are blocking the traffic on national highways and in majority of the cases boulders smashing running cars leading to loss of precious lives. A very fearing and horrible landslide has appeared in on Tanakpur Tawaghat national highway where a massive landslide has occurred. This area comes under the jurisdiction of Dharchula, Pithoragarh district if Kumaon division, Uttarakhand. This landslide of huge magnitude has occurred near NAYA GAON. After the landslide and the entire mountain getting displaced the highway had been completely blocked. The highway situated over the ” KALI RIVER” HAS BEEN SO BADLY AFFECTED BY THE HUGE LANDSLIDE THAT THE MASSIVE SLIT AND MALBA HAS REACHED THE RIVER. this has resulted in tremendous difficulties for the Border Roads organisation and State disaster management authority to clear the silt in huge quantity. Such landslides have become the order if the day in various parts of Uttarakhand and the Border Roads organisation have to deal with the situation under extreme unavoidable circumstances. Not a day is passed when landslides are not coming in leading to incessant traffic jams and loss of lives.
