A video of a 19 year old boy Pradeep Mehra originally from Almora is going viral in social media. The speciality about this video of an Uttarakhandi young boy going viral is his special feat of running from his work place McDonalds in Sector 16 Noida to his house in Barola, daily after finishing his, duty at 11.15 PM.
A high spirited dedicated boy of 19 years, earning the livelihood for his family, with his mother in hospital, daily runs with a backpack after office hours from McDonalds to his house in Barola covering ten kilometres distance during night after 11.15 PM after his duty ends.
The basic reason for his daily running is his hearty wish and ambition to join Indian Army to serve the nation.
Hailing from a modest family, living with his elder brother who also serves in a private job, a boy with determination and commitment Pradeep Mehra after reaching home, covering ten kilometres through running daily cooks food for him and his elder brother who comes home from duty at late hours.
This great feat of this determined boy was revealed by none other than a film maker living in Noida namely Vinod Kapri who saw this boy running after 11.15 PM and followed him making his video as well as talking to him while he was sweating, running towards his home.
When lauded and told that his video will now go viral now he responded, let it go viral after all I am not doing anything wrong.
While running and sweating talking to Kapri side by side, he revealed that his hearty wish is to serve in Indian Army, therefore runs daily after duty hours to home covering ten kilometres.
When offered the lift he refused saying he gets lift daily by one or other but he turns down their requests as he has to fulfil his ambition to join Indian Army.
On being urged to have dinner with Vinod Kapri he politely said he can’t as he has to cook food after reaching home for his brother as well who comes home after his duty.
After the video went viral Pradeep Mehra acknowledged several calls from cross section of the people including Army officers lauding his gesture.
Such dedicated young boys are truly an inspiration to young generations especially when at such a young age of mere 19 years Pradeep Mehra works in McDonalds and arranges livelihood for his family with his elder brother also living with him in a rented accomodation in Barola near Noida.
Pradeep also has complaints against few responders in social media who have ridiculed his running saying that he should go to Kashmir and run there. To this Kapri says: these are just few negative comments out of thousands. Never mind.
