A child, only son of parents Sunil and driver Raju of a pick up van die after it fell down in a deep gorge in Naini Danda block
Fatal accidents have become the order of the day in Uttarakhand’s Garhwal and Kumaon divisions. A massive accident had occured a few days ago on Gangotri national highway in which 26 pilgrims of Madhya Pradesh on Char Dham Yatra succumbed to severe injuries during the deadly accident when the bus they were travelling in fell several metres down in a gorge with four to six also severely injured. Half of the dead included adolescent including children.
The Prime minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh CM and Uttarakhand CM had announced ex gratia of Rs 8 lakh in total to the bereaved families and Rs 1.5 lakhs to each of the injured the injured cumulatively.
After, the Gangotri Highway accident several accidents of Max taxis n private vehicles too occured proving fatal on different locations with several tragedies.
Meanwhile just yesterday an adolescent boy and a driver has succumbed to another deadly tragedy when a Pick Up vehicle plying on Umta Motor Road, Haldukhal in Naini Daanda block, in Pauri Garhwal district fell in a deep gorge killing a child Sunil on the spot, the only son of Shyam Lal sending shock waves in Naini Danda block n in surrounding villages.
According to the news, on 17 th June, afternoon a pick up van heading for Umta village while returning back on the upper road of Bhaid Gaon fell two hundred metres down in a gorge after the driver failed to control the speeding vehicle killing a boy on the spot.
The driver of the vehicle who was grievously injured however, died later on when he was ferried to a hospital in Haldwani.
The name of the driver was Raju who was declared brought dead by the doctors of the hospital.
All the villagers of Bhed Gaon reached the accidental spot and extended their hands of support to retrieve the dead body of the child and the injured driver who also died before reaching the hospital, unfortunately.
The villagers are awestruck and in utter pain witnessing this deadly tragedy, that took two lives in fraction of seconds after this deadly accident.
May the Almighty render peace to the departed souls and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. The vice president of Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Dhirendra Pratap expressed his deepest condolences and heartfelt tributes on these tragic deaths in Naini Danda Block of Pauri Garhwal.
