Uttarakhand United Front demands restoration of old pension scheme in the hilly state on the lines of Rajasthan government led by Ashok Gehlot

The Congress Government in Rajasthan has taken an important decision to restore old pension to all the employees appointed after January 1, 2004 enthusing and inspiring the Restoration United Front Uttarakhand to follow suit to pressurise the new government that is expected to arrive after 10 th March. Expressing its sincere gratitude to the chief minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot and the Government of Rajasthan for honouring the feelings and genuine demands of NPS personnel and under the banner of United Front, thus restoring the old pensions struggling hard for the last several years.

The senior vice president of National Old Pensions Restoration United Front, Uttarakhand Dr. D.C. Pasbola said that the Rajasthan government has taken a pro pensioners decision by deciding to restore old pension and it is expected that the governments of other states, including the state government of Uttarakhand, will soon follow suit on the lines of Rajasthan government and restore the old pension, for which the pensioners have been relentlessly struggling tooth n nail. He assured that the Uttarakhand Front of Rajasthan will take positive steps in order to pressurise the state government accord the benefit of old pension to all the employees appointed after October 1, 2005 in Uttarakhand. United Front requests the Uttarakhand State Government to restore the old pension to 80000 employees of Uttarakhand at the earliest.

He assured that taking the clue from the Rajasthan development, the United Front will fight the battle across Uttarakhand for the restoration of old pension, come what may. He added that after the formation of the new government, United Front Uttarakhand will unite all the employees and expedite the movement under the new strategy, forcing the government to restore the old pension in Uttarakhand on the lines of the Rajasthan government.

Dr. Pasbola further informed that today the State General Secretary Sitaram Pokhriyal, President Anil Badoni, in-charge Vikram Singh Rawat, National President BP Singh Rawat including all the office bearers, all NPS personnel and their families welcomed the decision of restoration of old pension in Rajasthan.
