14% increase in the DA of central government employees. Matter to rejoice

Though there is all round inflation after the multiple hike in petrol, diesal and domestic gas prices, the central government employees are to be benefitted after the central budget released on 1 st February. The Union Government has hiked 14% dearness allowance of lakhs of government employees enhancing their salaries multifold. The disbursement of the enhanced DA will be done in the month of March 2022 leading to about Rs 14000 increase in the salaries of employees. According to the office memorandum issued by department of public enterprise, Ministry of Finance under the subject : Board level and below Board Level posts including Non unionised Supervisors in Central Public Sector Enterpeises ( CPSEs). Revision of pay wef 01.1.2007 – Payment of IDA at revised rates regarding, the memorandum states that the rates of dearness allowance payable to the Board Level and below Board level executives and non unionised supervisors of CPSEs is w. e. f. 1.0.22 for the 2007 pay scales is 184.1%. It further states that the above rate of DA increased by 184.1% would be applicable in the case of IDA employees who have been allowed revised pay scales ( 2007) as per DPEOMs dated 26.11.2008, 9.2.2009 and 2.4.2009. The ministry of finance directed all the administrative Ministries/ Departments of government of India to bring the foregoing to the notice of the CPSEs under their administrative control for necessary action at their end.

This enhancement id 14% instead of 3% which will raise the salaries of central government employees to the tune of more than Rs 14 thousand considered as a bumper increase. This enhancement has been done only in the salaries of Central Government sector enterprise. Earlier the central government employees used to get 170.5% increase in their DAs but this time it has been done to 184.1% which is considered as bumper hike. The government has also issued an update with regard to the dearness allowance, which unambiguously says that there wasn’t any revision done in respect of DA imbursement and the central government employees n their unions have been incessantly demanding blocked DA from january 2020 to June 2022. As per the given information those whose basic pay is up to Rs 3500 would get get the increase if 643.3% subject to minimum of Rs 14.184. Those employees who basic is from Rs 4500 to 6500 will get the increment of Rs. 22460 and those with basic salary above Rd 9509 will get the benefit of Rs 36784 says the below furnished table of ministry of Finance.
