Former Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat not to contest from Doiwala. Writes to BJP chief Nadda.

It happens rarely when a former chief minister who ruled a state for more than four years would give up his seat and announce that he’s not contesting from his traditional seat, particularly when his party full of confidence and enthusiasm declares that it is winning by more than sixty seats.

This is the case of Uttarakhand where its former CM who was ousted just five months ago has declared voluntarily not to contest from his traditional Doiwala seat of Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

The main opposition party of Uttarakhand Congress considers this decision of not contesting from his traditional assembly seat by a former CM as a moral defeat of Bhartiya Janata Party at the hustings say Congress leaders.

According to the former chief minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat who was unceremoniously replaced from his significant post five months ago by the then new CM Tirath Singh Rawat has in a hand written letter addressed to the national chief of Bhartiya janata Party J. P. Nadda said that since he want to dedicate himself to the elections of Uttarakhand to make BJP victorious, he would not like to contest from Doiwala this time.

He thanked the prime minister Narendra Modi and the electorates of Doiwala, Dehradun, Uttarakhand for their everlasting blessings and support saying that he can’t ever repay their credit bestowed towards him.

He said that he had already acquainted the leadership about his decision not to contest the election after the change in leadership of the state under CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, under the changed political circumstances, working hard for the saffron party’s victory at the hustings.

Since I had earlier worked in Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections earlier I would now like to dedicate myself for Uttarakhand elections said Rawat in his letter addressed to national party chief J. P. Nadda.

It may be recalled that the former CM Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat is allegedly annoyed by the national leadership for being unceremoniously ousted as the 9 th CM of the state and has taken this decision to express his exasperation against the central High command.

There are also rumours that since he is afraid of the party and himself losing at the hustings and has taken this decision after a deep thought having discussed the matter with his near n dear ones threadbare.

However, there is no decision from the high command over his wish not to contest till now.
