Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar still in ICU, battling for life in Breach Candy hospital

Eminent playback mesmerising singer, the Nightingale of India, immensely popular worldwide for singing more than thirty thousand songs in Bollywood, Marathi films n several regional languages, nonagenarian Lata Mangeshkar is still fighting for life for the last eleven days in ICU after she was admitted in Breach Candi hospital Mumbai due to Covid infection.

After her admission, she is continuously under treatment in the intensive care unit with millions of her fans at the pan India level praying for her early recovery.

Ninety two years old melodious playback singer born on 28 th September, 1929, Lata Mangeshkar sang for seven decades entertaining her billions of fans having been the recipient of coveted Bharat Ratna, Padmashree, Padmabhushan, prestigious three Film fare, life time achievement and Dadasaheb Phalke awards n several other national and internation recognitions. Her ” aye mere vatan ke logon”, song in memory of our bravehearts as the heartfelt tributes in 1962 Indo China war made the then prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru literary cry.

According to the health bulletin issued by the her doctor Pratit Samdani to “India Today”, It has been more than a week since Lata Mangeshkar has been kept under observation in ICU. She is still undergoing treatment at ICU and does not want many people to know about the condition. According to the latest reports she will still continue to be in the Breach Candy hospital for another ten to twelve days say the latest news reports. She is fighting for life as is in ICU incessantly.

On the New Year even Lata Mangeshkar had greeted everyone her good wishes in a tweet praying for everyone’s safety from dreaded Corona but unfortunately she herself got infected thereafter.
