Former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat says Congress govt will give Rs 200 to each family on monthly basis to lessen burden of costly domestic gas cylinders

The former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is visiting Uttarakhand on 16 th December, this being his first rally. The prime minister had addressed a massive public meeting few days ago and inaugurated various projects worth 18000 crores, formally commencing the BJP election campaign. The Congress now wants to make it an impressive show trying to beat the PM’s, rally by bringing as much as people it can with all the leaders organising preparatory meetings at all the district headquarters. Meanwhile, the former CM and the chairman of Uttarakhand Congress election campaign committee Harish Rawat had today questioned the present CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on unemployment issue compounded with skyrocketing prices of Petrol, Diesal, domestic gas and essential commodities accusing the saffron party government for literally doing nothing to provide employment to the youths of Uttarakhand.

Harish Rawat said that there are nine lakh unemployed youths in the state desperately waiting to get jobs but all in vain. Congress leader Harish Rawat challenged the chief minister to come in an open ground or park and debate with him on unemployment and skyrocketing prices issues. Rawat also declared thag the Congress party will organise a movement on a wide scale against unemployment, inflation, illegal mining and corruption. He assured the people of the state of implementing Lokayukt in Uttarakhand within a year after coming to power including introducing a Punchayat Lok Pal as, well to investigate misuse and embezzlement of Panchayati Raj funds.

He also announced implementation of a new Mining policy made during his previous tenure at the earliest. He also announced probe into the illegal mining in Uttarakhand after coming to power including demanding white paper from the government on the present economic status. He assured of giving Rs 200 every month to every family of Uttarakhand to lessen the burden of domestic gas of women. In a post tagged in his twitter handle Congress leader Harish Rawat criticized Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on announcing freebies in Uttarakhand wrote : Delhi CM is making big announcements to seek publicity in Uttarakhand.

There is no basis and calculation of these populist announcements. Delhi’s budget is five time more than our budget, and these schemes have not been launched there. Electricity is being given free in 200 units Consumption. They are in power for seven yrs in Delhi but in Uttarakhand assurance after assurance are being given. The only purpose behind this is to stop the negative vote of BJP to help the saffron party. Identify AAP as it is a “Vote deducter, Vote Katwa party.
