The CBI has now registered a separate case against unknown persons to probe the alleged role of a ‘VIP’ in the murder. The parents gave a written letter to the CBI Director demanding narco tests on former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore and actress Urmila Sanawar, after their viral audio clips purportedly referring to a VIP’s role in the case went viral. After the meeting, the family told the media that if the narco test is not conducted within 10 days, they will start a nationwide agitation. Ankita Bhandari, 19, was a receptionist at Vanantra Resort in Pauri, Uttarakhand. She went missing on Sept 18, 2022 and was found murdered.
