Nainital, Ramgarh Tempo Traveller Accident: 22 Rescued, 02 Dead

Information was received at 13:35 hrs from the District Control Room, Nainital that a tempo traveller (vehicle number UP14 TQ 9690) lost control and fell into a gorge near Luktadhar, about 3 km ahead of Ramgarh towards Mukteshwar. A total of 22 passengers were onboard the vehicle. Two persons died in the accident, while 20 passengers were rescued.
On the instructions of SDRF Commandant Shri Arpan Yaduvanshi, the SDRF team took immediate action after receiving the information. Led by Sub Inspector Manoj Rawat, the SDRF team reached the spot immediately and along with NDRF and District Police launched a joint relief and rescue operation.
During the joint rescue operation, with the help of necessary rescue equipment, the SDRF team reached the accident site and safely pulled out 20 passengers. The bodies of the 02 persons who died in the accident were also retrieved from the crashed vehicle and handed over to the District Police.
