Amid extremely bad weather, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Pipalkoti. Due to adverse weather conditions, the helicopter landing was also possible only under very difficult circumstances.
The Chief Minister will conduct an on-site inspection of the rescue operation being carried out to safely evacuate the workers trapped in the tunnel.
At the site, the Chief Minister will take stock of the progress of the rescue operation from the administration, police, SDRF, NDRF and all other concerned agencies present there, and will issue necessary directions. Following this, the Chief Minister will also meet the rescued injured workers and inquire about their well-being.
Ensuring the safe evacuation of every worker trapped in the tunnel is the government’s top priority, and all agencies are working on a war footing to achieve this.
