Uttarakhand Raksha Morcha demands one cr financial compensation and a govt job for a family member of the martyrs in J&K

The Uttarakhand Raksha Morcha, a regional political outfit in Uttarakhand has demanded Rs one crore each as financial compensation to the bereaved families of bravehearts, valiant Indian Army soldiers who’ve given supreme sacrifice while guarding our porus borders and bravely fighting the dreaded terrorists in strife torn Jammu and Kashmir.

They have also demanded a government job to the next of the kin to financially support the distressed and traumatic family whose young sons have given their lives in the service of the nation at such a young age who were the sole bread earners for their respective families.

In a letter written to the chief minister of Uttarakhand to be submitted on Tuesday, the president of Uttarakhand Raksha Morcha, primarily an organisation of ex servicemen dedicated to serve Uttarakhand in all respects, Dr. Vinod Bahuguna, who had been a distinguished IFS officer while in service having served in various outstanding positions, has demanded immediate sanction of Rs one crore to the bereaved families of the brave heart dare devils of Indian Army and security forces who had at their young age martyred themselves while bravely confronting the dreaded terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a letter addressed to chief minister Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, while demanding the financial compensation to the martyred families, the Uttarakhand Raksha Morcha president Dr. V. K. Bahuguna has expressed his anguish over the increasing number of fatalities of young Army men in anti terrorists operations in Jammu and Kashmir, not only making their children orphaned but also leaving the entire family in immense financial jeopardy and lurch.

While urging upon the state government to fulfil two demands : Rs One crore as financial compensation and a job in government according to the capability of the next of the kin of the deceased/ martyred soldiers, Uttarakhand Rakha Morcha also appealed to the government to lessen the possibilities of collateral damage during the terrorists search operations.

The URM have requested to formulate a transparent and stringent policy or mechanism to sternly deal with those who give shelter and protection to the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country.

Dr. Vinod Bahuguna has hoped that the Uttarakhand chief minister will look into this demand of Uttarakhand Raksha Morcha in depth and seriously and fullfil them at the earliest in wider national and people’s interest.

It may be recalled that in the last two to three days about five valiant soldiers of Indian Army were martyred in various operations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Out of five dare devils three were : Rifleman Vikram Singh Negi, age : 26 years resident of Viman Gaon, Post : Khand, Tehsil : Narendra Nagar district, Tehri, Garhwal, Uttarakhand.

Rifle man Yogambar Singh, aged 27 years, Village, Sankari, post : trishula, Tehsil Pokhari, district Chamoli, Uttarakhand

Harendra Singh Rawat, Garhwal, Rifles, Village, Pipalsari, Rikhnikhal, Pauri, Garhwal, Uttarakhand

Ajay Rautela, village : Rampur Khaadi Gaon, Narendra Nagar, Tehri Garhwal.
