Rajpal Yadav attends the event of SIX SIGMA in army uniform at Taj Palace hotel and Kailash Kher didn’t heard to the request of the lady moderator to sing few lines
The versatile actor , more famous for his comic roles having come into more limelight recently when he was jailed for a few days and several Bollywood actors coming to his rescue Rajpal Yadav was a show of attraction with a large number of people curious to meet him at Durbar Hall, Hotel Taj, New Delhi on 25 th April in an Event organised by SIX SIGMA Healthcare WORKING at high altitudes to serve and medically render all support and treatment to those ill or injured at Kedarnath, Badrinath, Kailash Mansarovar or other locations having played a very vital role during the 2013 June Kedarnath ecological disaster as well.
The SIX SIGMA works in collaboration with the defense and paramilitary forces having saved more than six thousand people at high altitudes ranging from 15 to 20 thousand feet above sea level.
The chief of the Naval Staff Dinesh Tripathi was the chief guest and several distinguished personalities including Bollywood actors were the stars of attraction on this occasion.
The actor Rajpal Yadav though was in the Uniform of a military soldier he did so to pay his respects to brave fighters who saved our borders fighting the enemy forces with patriotism not caring for their lives and challenging hardships.
When Rajpal was awarded on the stage by the chief of the Naval staff Dinesh Tripathi he was all for praise with hundreds of audiences cheering him in jubilation.
Rajpal took the mike to speak saying that several people asked me as to why have I worn the military jawan’s uniform in a luxurious function. My reply was simple : brave soldiers fighting at our porous borders safeguarding us are the real heroes.
He narrated a very interesting incident that after qualifying my tenth from Shahjahanpur UP I applied in the army against the vacancy for stitching the uniform of the soldiers. I was very anxious and qualified in the exam and all the tests. I felt great that I ‘ll be stitching the uniform of my soldiers in the Army.
When my medical test form was given to me, my optimism rose further that I will soon be appointed for sure. After waiting for the call meanwhile I got the role of Angadh in a Ramleela in my native place . I played the role and got Kudos. Gradually my journey towards theatre and arts started and finally got admission in NSD and now you see where I am , entertaining millions of people.
There are hundreds of others in Shahjahanpur stitching dresses of the brave fighters in the Indian Army.
I have tremendous regard for them and salute the brave hearts for their brave patriotic acts. I therefore came here in this function in the army soldier union to pay my regards and tributes to them and those who gave their supreme sacrifices in the service of the nation.
His extempore speech laden with emotions and respect for the defence forces , para military and the SIX SIGMA WORKING at high altitudes 24X7, rendering free medical help was extensively lauded to the core by one and all. He came to Delhi from Mumbai on his own without charging a single pie including other actors said Pradeep Bharadwaj, CEO Six Sigma thanking all of them from the bottom of his heart. Kudos
But another incident definitely compelled the audience to feel bad when a popular singer Kailash Kher expressed his annoyance over the lady announcer’s request to him to sing few lines of one of his songs to set the tone of the event after praising the singer for his mesmerising , melodious voice and immense popularity among his large fan following.
The singer was respectfully seated on the stage with dignitaries and praised including requests made to deliver the awards to some of the awardees including singing one of the lines of his popular song. He was also honoured with a trophy . While speaking to the audience he unexpectedly came down heavily on the lady in the mike to behave herself and in future never ever ask a singer of repute like him to sing a few lines.
When the moderator sought apologies for her inadvertent mistake if he thinks so he still adamantly repeated the same lines in annoyance and went off the function after some time unambiguously giving the impression that he was not happy.
Such behaviour of a singer of repute is definitely not acceptable in a function where he is being accorded so much of reverence by the audience and the organisers.
The ocassion was the Excellence Award function of Six Sigma Heathcare foundation and several prominent dugniotires were present including the chief guest the Naval Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi( who came later after the singer left) many IPS, senior surgeons, doctors, Brigadier and film actors and MP Hema Malini, Jaya Prada, Daler Mehandee, Ganesh Choreographer, Sudha Chandra, Ranjit , octogenerian actor, etc.
