POSTER AND TRAILER OF A NEW GARHWALI MOVIE UNDER PRODUCTION ” KANDALI” RELEASED in New Delhi







A grand function was organised today by the producers of the new Garhwali movie “Kandali” to launch its first poster and a trailer in order to accquaunt the audience about the concept of ” Kandali” Garhwali movie and the need to produce it.

The chief guest of this occasion was the former chief of RAW IPS ( Retired) Mr. Alok Joshi , and senior journalist Adwaita Kala, Manjeet Negi of Aaj Tak, the special guests of honour.

The director of the movie Shiv Narayan Singh Rawat and both the producers retired Air Vice Marshal VSM Rajesh Bhandari and Entrepreneur Virendra Patwal were also seated on the dias who addressed the audience and narrated their dire wish to produce a Garhwali movie. The former Army chief IPS ( Retired) Alok Joshi congratulated the makers of this movie including the director and said that he wished – this movie gives to the society a message of women empowerment and becomes a grand success in box office. He humourisky said that I served as a RAW chief totally duty bound peacefully and not as a DHURANDHAR making everyone in the audience laugh.

Addressing the audience the Director of the movie Shiv Narayan Singh Rawat said that Kandali is a personification of the brave women who rose from a little girl of a village with poor back ground to become an IPS and finally fighting against injustice and corrupts in the system to bring them to justice.

The film primarily is the symbol of women empowerment. Mr. Rawat said he has been working in the production of films in Mumbai and South film industry since the last five decades and have directed three Garhwali movies viz. Baulya Kaka, Marchcha likely to be released shortly after completion, and the current movie Kandali under production.

He said that he produced and acted in Hindi movie Raju Bajrangi produced in 2015 now available on YouTube and another movie in pipeline namely Uttarakhand Ek Pratigya.

Rawat said that he is privileged to act in the first Garhwali movie “Jagwal” ( Wait) in 1984 and also assisted its producer , director Parashar Gaur.

Since then he worked in the South and Mumbai film industry and sought tremendous experience in film production asserted Rawat.

He said that he is highly optimistic of this movie becoming a grand success as it’s a personification of women’s commitment and determination to become an IPS and fight the corrupt and wrongs in the system not only to counter them with a heavy hand but also bring reformation in the society thus sending across a healthy message of women empowerment.

The senior journalist, COLUMNIST and author Advaita Kala expressed her immense satisfaction over making of Garhwali films and wished their success. She said that she had been writing for Hindi movies but now she will ensure that she scripts stories for Garhwali films in the near future.

The producer of Kandali , retired Air Chief Marshal Rajesh Bhandari looking extremely enthusiastic about his very must dream likely to come true said that he had a dream to make a Garhwali movie after retirement and am happy that it’s being fulfilled.

He said that this film is inspired by Armymen as in Uttarakhand every third family has a person joining Army and we have the story of a women becoming an IPS giving justice by bringing wrong doers and criminals to justice including the corrupts.

The chief guest forner RAW chief Alok Joshi, Adwaita Kala senior journalist and author, Manjeet Negi of Aaj Tak, Shiv Narayan Singh Rawat , retired Air Vice Marshal VSM Rajesh Bhandari and Entrepreneur Virendra Patwal released the poster amid cheers and clappings from the audience.

The director of the movie “Kandali”introduced the starcast of the film to the audience .

There were good number of senior defence officers present in this function including the theatre and movie artists. A trailor of the movie was also launched on this ocassion.

Several important petsnbs from various fields were also honoured in this ocassion to name a few are Pawan Suyal, eminent cricketer who played for Mumbai Indians in IPL and international tournaments , Sunil Negi senior journalist, director of Garhwali movie Sushila Rawat, actor Pramendra Rawat, producer Jodha films Sanjay Joshi, Ajay Bisht, Sanyogita Dhyani, Kusum Bisht , first heroine of Jagwal , Anil Negi, Secretary Garhwal Heroes, Dev Gusain, actor, etc. The event was commenced after lightening of the lamps.
