The colors of Uttarakhand’s traditional Holi were spread in the Baithaki Holi organized by Uttarakhand Lok Manch







In the grand traditional Baithaki Holi of Uttarakhand organized by Uttarakhand Lok Manch, which is connecting the society in Delhi NCR with the roots of its traditions, in the auditorium of Garhwal Bhawan, the main center of folk culture of Uttarakhand, located on Panchkuiya Road, the Holi songs presented by the teams of Hulyaras from Rath area, Pauri Garhwal and Sahibabad won the hearts of the huge crowd.
Folk singer Satendra Phandriyal’s world-famous song “Ni-Jaan-Ni Jaan Satpuli Ka Bazaar Meri Bou Suruli” captivated the audience. Bhuvan Rawat’s Holi songs, composed by Sarveshwar Bisht, added to the festivities. The audience danced to the Holi songs of Neeraj Bawadi and Meena Kandwal.
Under the leadership of Brijmohan Upreti*, President of Uttarakhand Lok Manch, a spectacular and grand Baithi Holi was organized. Lok Manch President Brijmohan Upreti said, “We have been organizing such events for the past seven years to connect our culture.”
According to Lok Manch General Secretary Pawan Maithani, a large number of women participated in the event.
Prominent figures included District Judge (Ghaziabad) Vinod Rawat, senior advocates Sandeep Sharma, Charu Tiwari, Dr. Sharad Pandey, senior journalists Sunil Negi, P.S. Negi, Mukesh Hindwan, Garhwal Hitaishi Sabha President Surat Singh Rawat, Rakesh Gaur, senior Congress leader Laxman Singh Rawat, P. N. Sharma, former Municipal Councilor Geeta Rawat, Khushal Singh Bisht, Dr. A. P. Lakhera, Prabhakar Pokhriyal, R. P. Chamoli, Virendra Singh Negi, Rakesh Budakoti, Dinesh Dhyani, Neeraj Bawadi, Meena Kandwal, etc.
At the end of the ceremony, the organizers had arranged for a beautiful and delicious Uttarakhandi food.
