A director of music company donated 1 crores 11 lakhs to Rajpal Yadav after Sonu Sood’s help
After the renowned comic actor Rajpal Yadav’s imprisonment in Tihar Prisons in the national capital territory on the directive of the Delhi High Court several Bollywood personalities have come to his rescue especially when renowned actor Sonu Sood took the lead in coming forward to help him. He had appealed to several Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan etc to come forward to his rescue but nobody did so. While surrendering at Tihar jail, the renowned Comic actor who had entertained everyone with his humour in several movies Rajpal Yadav had said that since nobody helped him , I have no alternative but to surrender and be in Tihar Jail.
Meanwhile there is a good news coming in, that on the second day of the surrender of Rajpal Yadav to Tihar Jail authorities several other celebrities of Bollywood have come forward to help him including a political leader, though they are not high profile as Salman, Shahrukh or Saif.
According to the latest news Sonu Sood has come out in support of actor Rajpal Yadav, who is lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail in a cheque bounce case.
Before surrendering due to an outstanding debt of ₹9 crore, Rajpal became emotional and expressed his grief over financial difficulties and loneliness in the film industry.
Seeing this situation, Sonu Sood has announced to cast him in his upcoming film and give him assistance of ₹5 crore (as signing amount).
He has clearly said in social media that this is not charity but a gesture of reverence to an actor of outstanding calibre including for maintaining his dignity.
Taking a cue from Sonu Sood , the proprieter of Gem Tunes Music has generously have announced to give 1 crore and 11 lakh rupees to Rajpal Yadav surprising one and all in Bollywood. In addition to these financial supports Tej Pratap Yadav, son of Lalu Yadav has given Rs eleven lakhs as a token of support to a highly talented actor with ten lakh assistance from a vociferous actor of TV and Bollywood Kamaal R. Khan.
It may be recalled that the comic actor Rajpal Yadav has borrowed Rs. 9 crores in 2010 from Murali Projects pvt limited for his film that was a huge flop, unfortunately.
Rajpal decided to direct a film for the first time. He named it “Aata Pata Lapata” . The movie became flop and could only generate Rs. 42. Lakhs worldwide. The company asked for its money back and the cheques issued by him bounced.
In 2018, Delhi’s Karkardooma Court found Rajpal guilty and sentenced him to six months in prison. The case went to the High Court, where some relief was obtained, but later it was not, finally directions issued by Delhi High Court to go to jail.
Always a generous actor since the Covid times helping people in distress till date Sonu Sood was the first to come to the rescue of Rajpal Yadav financially, also appealing to other Bollywood celebrities to come forward and help the actor in distress. He wrote a very emotional post lauding Rajpal Yadav on X: Rajpal Yadav is a gifted actor who has given years of unforgettable work to our industry. Sometimes life turns unfair, not because of talent, but because timing can be brutal. He will be part of my film, and I believe this is the moment for all of us..producers, directors, colleagues to stand together. A small signing amount, adjustable against future work, is not charity, it’s dignity. When one of our own is going through a tough phase, the industry must remind him he’s not alone. This is how we show we are more than just an industry.
Rajpal Yadav has acted in 200 movies till now with majority of his movies being super hits especially films like Hungama, Bhool Bhulayya, Mai Madhuri Banna Chahati Hoon, Golmal etc etc.
