AAP activists led by former minister and Delhi chief Saurabh Bharadwaj detained by Delhi police
They were protesting and paying tributes to Kamal Dhyani who died in a Delhi Jal Board pit through candle march




The incident of the recent unfortunate tragic death of a twenty five year old young boy Kamal Dhyani who died with his bike inside the seven metres deep pit of Delhi Jal Board the other day is gaining momentum in Delhi with several socio political organisations protesting and taking our marches being arrested against the mismanagement and negligence of Delhi Jal Board that directly comes under the jurisdiction of the BJP government led by its chief minister Rekha Gupta.
Several activists of AAP today led by the former cabinet minister of Delhi and Delhi Aam Admi chief Saurabh Bharadwaj were arrested by the Delhi police after they were not allowed to light candles and hold the march at the site where the 25 year old Uttarakhand’s young boy Kamal Dhyani serving as a tele caller in HDFC bank Rohini died almost a most tortuous and painful death after his bike plunged into a seven metres deep pit dug by the Delhi Jal Board with no fencing and notice board of indicators.
When the AAP activists reached the venue at Janakpuri led by the Delhi AAP chief Saurabh Bharadwaj the DCP concerned alongwith with policemen didn’t allow them to hold the candle march and pay their respects in the firm of a peaceful protest.
The protestors marched defying the orders and were arrested and taken in the police van with AAP volunteers raising slogans against the Delhi government and DJB authorities demanding immediate arrest of the officers and contractors responsible and bringing them to justice by registering cases under serious sections of BNS .
On being detained, AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bhardwaj says on X : “This is a dictatorship. Lakhs of people take to the streets against Trump in the USA. But none of them were detained… We came here just to light candles for the boy who died because of the government’s mistake. But we were detained… The central government has no tolerance for anyone who even asks them for justice…” wrote the former minister and Delhi AAP president Saurabh Bharadwaj.
