Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the country’s budget.
The budget contained several major announcements. The government unveiled numerous schemes and gifts. Several ministers, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressed their views on the budget.
BJP Economic Cell Co-ordinator CA Rajeshwar Painuli’s reaction on the budget has also come to light.
CA Panuli said on the Budget that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is leading the nation towards self-reliance and prosperity, the Union Budget 2026-27 presented by the Finance Minister is not just an economic document . Rather, it is a powerful manifesto of the resolve for a developed India. I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for this inclusive and visionary budget.
Speaking on the benefits accorded to Uttarakhand through this budget CA Rajeshwari Painuli said that the Union Budget 2026-27 will prove economically beneficial for Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand’s share of central taxes has been increased as recommended by the 16th Finance Commission. This will provide the state with an additional ₹1,841 crore said the BJP economic cell cordinator.
Uttarakhand will receive 17,414 crore rupees from the central government this fiscal year as its share. The central government has made provisions in the budget, taking into account the priorities and demands presented by Uttarakhand.
Especially the decisions related to the scheme of financial assistance to states for capital investment and expansion of Jal Jeevan Mission scheme will give new impetus to the development of infrastructure in the state said Painuli.
About the increase in the share of Uttarakhand in central taxes Painuli said that Uttarakhand’s share of central taxes was 1.118 percent under the 15th Finance Commission. This was increased to 1.141 percent under the 16th Finance Commission. The state’s share for the fiscal year 2025-26 was ₹15,573 crore.
This fiscal year will receive ₹17,414 crore, an increase of ₹1,841 crore this year. The 16th Finance Commission increased the state’s share in horizontal transfers.
This will provide the state with an additional ₹1,841 crore (₹18.41 billion) in funding. The state will receive ₹17,414 crore (₹17.41 billion) from the central government this fiscal year.
The Central Government has made provisions in the budget taking into account the priorities and demands presented by Uttarakhand.

The Union Budget for the financial year 2026-27 is a new impetus for Uttarakhand. The central government has also approved the recommendations of the 16th Finance Commission.
Based on these recommendations, the state will get an additional Rs 1841.16 crore as state’s share in central taxes in the new financial year as compared to the year 2025-26.
At the same time, the increase in the amount of money provided to states in the form of interest-free loans in the Union Budget will provide significant relief to the state. The state will receive approximately 2,000 crore rupees under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment said Painuli.
Elaborating further CA Rajeshwari Painuli said that not only has the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme been extended till the year 2028 in the Union Budget, a budget provision of Rs 67,670 crore has also been made in this scheme.
With the extension of the project period, the state is expected to receive the pending amount of 3500 crore rupees. Additionally, the state will receive its share of this amount as part of its annual budget. He concluded saying that The state will be able to receive more than Rs 9,000 crore as total additional central assistance, including increased budget provision in about 10 centrally sponsored schemes.
