Over 500 People Benefit from Free Health and Eye Check-up Camp “Ram Babu Sharma Was a Visionary, Dedicated, and Popular Leader” — Jaiprakash Aggarwal

On the 17th death anniversary of former MLA and senior leader of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, late Ram Babu Sharma, a tribute meeting and a free health and eye check-up camp were organized at Shri Sai Temple, Kabul Nagar, Shahdara. The event, marked by reverence, respect, and a spirit of service, witnessed hundreds of people paying their heartfelt tributes to the late leader.During the service camp, over 500 underprivileged people received medical examinations and were provided free medicines and spectacles, reflecting Ram Babu Sharma’s lifelong commitment to public welfare in a tangible way. MLA Vipin Sharma; social worker Paras Sharma (Pinky); former MLA and Chairman of the Yamuna Par Development Board Arvinder Singh Lovely; Councillor Shivani Panchal; former MLA Anil Bhardwaj; along with Zubair Ahmed, Bhisham Sharma, Ishwar Bagri, Ashwani Sharma, Sushil Tiwari, Mahesh Kapoor, Mayank Chaturvedi, Jai Karan Chaudhary, representatives of various political parties, office-bearers of social organizations, and other eminent citizens of the area. Addressing the gathering, Jaiprakash Aggarwal said that late Ram Babu Sharma was a visionary, hardworking, principled, and widely respected leader, whose entire life was devoted to public service and organizational building. He added that Sharma’s work as the Leader of the Congress Party in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi continues to inspire generations.
Former President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee Anil Chaudhary stated that the construction of Rajiv Bhawan was a historic contribution of Ram Babu Sharma, which even today stands as a center of ideological strength and democratic struggle for the Congress organization. Former MLA Arvinder Singh Lovely remarked that Ram Babu Sharma’s life is a living example that politics should be a medium of service to society and democracy, not merely a pursuit of power.
Vijay Shankar Chaturvedi, President of the Accredited Journalists Association, said that on behalf of the Association, floral tributes were offered to Ram Babu Sharma, paying homage to his ideals. Representatives of all political parties also paid their respects.
