SDC foundation Dehradun chief urges Anil Joshi to withdraw his FIR in the wider public interest honouring the demand of the majority

Since the day the chairman of HESCO, eminent environmentalist, recipient of two prestigious government honours Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan Anil Joshi considered to be in close proximity with the powers that be, have been the target of the entire opposition including the news analysts who had clearly said that registration of an FIR on his complaint to DG police, Uttarakhand after the CBI probe declaration by the CM Pushkar Singh Dhami raises several questions of suspicion especially because Joshi had never been with the movement of # Justice for Ankita Bhandari nor issued any statement during the last three years in this most sensitive matter when the thousands of youths were struggling for CBI demand and the government not ready to recommend it. Anil Joshi , who has always been under suspicion to side with the governments in power not speaking anything on massive tree cuttings and in projects massively harming the already fragile ecology of Uttarakhand, people consider this all of a sudden lodging of FIR in his name as a ploy to weaken the Ankita Bhandari CBI investigations as the traumatised parents of Ankita Bhandari were not asked to lodge the FIR nor the letter presented by them to Chief minister demanding CBI probe turned into an FIR.

While there is tremendous opposition to Anil Joshi’s lodging of FIR already sent to the central government to be dispatched to the CBI to become the basis for starting the probe by the India’s premier investigative agency , the founding chairman of SDC Foundation NGO of Dehradun Anoop Nautiyal who is extremely vociferous on environmental issues and social matters of Dehradun and Uttarakhand has appealed to environmental leader Anil Joshi to take back his FIR forthwith.

While asking Anil Joshi to take back his FIR lodged in Dehradun Dr. Anoop Nautiyal said : Whatever the inducement, compulsion, or circumstances, Mr. Anil Joshi’s filing of an FIR in the Ankita murder case appears to be a wrongful act. I would like to tell them to take cognizance of the widespread public protest and anger prevailing in Uttarakhand regarding this FIR and proceed further by taking legal advice towards withdrawing your FIR. Anoop Nautiyal added : It is true that it is not legally possible to “immediately withdraw” the FIR, but they can take initiative towards ending the matter through the available legal processes. He can clearly say before the people of the state that respecting the sentiments of the people, he is withdrawing his FIR.The public is supreme. Even the greatest of individuals are humbled and dwarfed before the sentiments of the people. I am not saying anything impossible here, but apart from Anil Joshi, I am demanding a CBI investigation under the supervision of a Supreme Court judge, taking the only FIR filed by Ankita’s maternal and paternal grandparents as the basis said Anoop Nautiyal of SDC Foundation NGO through a post on X.
