The Ankita Bhandari case refuses to go down. Despite the announcement of CBI probe in Ankita Bhandari case the protests still continue to maintain the commitment towards this sensitive issue with most of the people still annoyed after the announcement of the CBI probe because it’s not being held under the watchful eye of either the Supreme Court of High Court judge.
There are several other manipulations thereafter like not asking the aggrieved parents of late Ankita Bhandari to lodge the FIR which could have become the basis for the CBI probe but instead Padma Shree and Padma Bhushan Anil Joshi, eminent environmentalist’s FIR has been considered.
As a sequel to the ongoing protest demonstrations the earlier call given for entire Uttarakhand Bandh continued today peacefully to express solidarity to the cause and at Delhi near Chandra Singh Garhwali Chowk a candle march was organised raising slogans demanding transparent justice to Ankita Bhandari.
The adolescent daughters , several women activists and social activists including members of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha and leaders like Laxman Singh Rawat, senior journo and activist Charu Tiwari, GHS president Surat Singh , Pawan Maithani, Mr. Kanswal, Mr. Joshi etc were leading the protest demonstrations with candle lights in every hand.
In Sant Nagar Burari and Vinod Nagar East a massive candle light and slogan shouting demonstration cum padyatra was organised demanding justice for Kiran Negi led by Gambhir Singh Negi and Kuldeep Bhandari. There were hundreds of the people of Uttarakhand in these protest rallies.
Though the CBI probe has been announced by the chief minister but the candle protest march continued to demand that the CBI probe should be held under the watchful eyes of the sitting or retired judge of Supreme Court or High Court.
