Uttarakhand Congress chief Godiyal waves a toy gun in the air symbolically and warns the govt not to compel them to take arms in their hands to kill maneaters

The wild animals and human conflict is at its worst in Uttarakhand these days as the maneaters and wild bears are incessantly making the human beings their easy prey with women, children and senior citizens becoming extremely vulnerable.
During the past two weeks there have been more than 14 attacks by wild bears grievously injuring the village women and four maneaters attack killing a woman and a four year old child including injuring others.
The Pauri Garhwal and Rudraprayag districts are the worst hit.
In Pokhra block the schools remained closed for several days and outraged men and women blocked traffic in Srinagar Garhwal for several days urging the DFO to kill the maneaters than trapping them in the iron cage. They want a permanent solution than temporary relief.
The cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj MLA from of Chowbattakhal block which too is maneater infested area had spoken to the DFO and the forest minister Subodh Uniyal also directed the senior officers to expedite efforts to tranquilize the maneaters and nab them in iron cages and if need be kill them.
Meanwhile, the infuriated Uttarakhand state Congress Committee president Ganesh Godiyal has unambiguously warned the Uttarakhand government tk kill the maneaters wherever they pose direct threats to the local villagers lest they will be compelled to kill the maneaters themselves by taking law in their own hands.
While addressing a crowd of affected residents Ganesh Godiyal waves in the air the toy gun saying that the state government should test their patient .
They should hear to the woes of the affected residents and immediately order to kill the maneaters failing which the people will be compelled to take the arms in their own hands and kills the maneaters and wild bears who are killing the children, women and senior citizens said Ganesh Godiyal.
The Uttarakhand Congress chief urged the forest and wild life department to employ watchers in the affected villages, use the drone cameras to keep tap on the movement of maneaters in affected areas, fix large number of iron cases, tranquilize the maneaters and nab them and if need be kill them as human beings are more important than these carnivores who have created havoc in Garhwal and Kumaon roaming around freely near villages and human habitats and killing the hapless villagers asserted the Uttarakhand Congress chief.
