Congress in Uttarakhand needs to be strengthened up to the grass roots level : Dr. Harak Singh Rawat

In conversation with former cabinet minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat, the chairman of the Uttarakhand Campaign committee on important political issues of Uttarakhand at his Green Park residence in New Delhi
The newly elected chairman of the Uttarakhand Congress appointed by Congress high command Dr. Harak Singh Rawat says that he will not accept any garland or bouquet of congratulations in Delhi or elsewhere on my new appointment till I don’t wipe out the saffron party from Uttarakhand. Dr. Harak Singh Rawat has taken this pledge in one of the meetings at Dehradun when he was garlanded by the present newly nominated president of Congress party Ganesh Godiyal where he took the pledge to wipe out the saffron party from Uttarakhand in his capacity as the newly appointed chairman of the Congress campaign committee of Uttarakhand by an undisputed leader of Congress and LOP Rahul Gandhi and the Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge. Today a delegation of a few protagonists of Dr. Rawat had gone to his Delhi residence to congratulate him on his new important assignment with a bouquet. He instead of accepting it politely requested them to present it to Pawan Bhatt his lieutenant than him as he is bound by his pledge not to accept any garland or bouquet till his promise is met. Speaking to Uknationnews editor Sunil Negi Dr. Harak Singh Rawat while thanking the delegation said that he is immensely thankful to the Congress high command for bestowing on him such an important responsibility and assured that he will abide by the responsibility assigned to him and work tirelessly for the upgradation of the party prospects adding that strengthening the Congress at the grass roots level is the need of the hour especially fulfilling the aspirations of the women community and the youths of the Himalayan state. He categorically said that Uttarakhand needs leaders of vision who are associated with the grass roots and understand the problems and grievances of those living at the lowest ebb. Dr. Rawat is highly optimistic that the people of Uttarakhand are fed up with the present ruling political dispensation and want a change expecting employment, women empowerment and women security including the ecological friendly development compounded with people centric policies for the betterment and well being of the people of Uttarakhand who had sacrificed their interests for a separate state with its capital in Gairsain and end to alleged corruption and everything that is bad and ugly for the land of abode of Gods.
