Dead body of Agniveer Bhim Singh just 19 years old of Garhwal found after 68 days of tragic Dharali deluge

THE most heartwrenching tragedy of Dharali is still fresh in everyone’s mind in which around seventy persons were reported missing which included the nine braveheart jawans of Harshil Army Camp. The Uttarakhand government has few days ago declared those missing in the Dharali cloudburst and subsequent over flooding tragedy as dead making their bereaved families eligible to claim the financial compensation fixed by the state and Central governments and to all fulfill the necessary spiritual and legal obligations. Out of the dead bodies of nine jawans who were lost in this tragedy missing since the last 68 days, one, the body of Agniveer Bhim Singh (19), a resident of Bhaunawas village in Kotputli-Behror district, was found in the debris after 68 days. His identity was confirmed after DNA testing. Bhim Singh was posted as an Agniveer in the 14th Rajputana Rifles, and this was his first posting. He had joined the army only about nine months earlier.
