Mandeep Singh is the Uttarakhand Idol first winner, Second prize went to Kanchan Rawat and third to Leela Payal

The much hyped Uttarakhand Idol winners were declared in a glittering function on 14 TH OCTOBER at Talkatora Indoor Stadium after tremendous exercise of singing compitition for several months finally zeroing on the first , second and third winners amid extensive fanfare in the presence of thousands of enthusiastic audience.

The fifteen finalists were selected by three eminent judges namely Madhu Berinag Shah, Satendra Farendia and Kusum Bhatt earlier who participated in the finals by giving them outstanding magnificent performances as ideal singers in Uttarakhand’s regional dialects.

The fifteen finalists who participated in the grand finale trying their luck to reach the top were Palchin Rawat, Dhruv Kholiya, Aarti Gusain, Vasudha Gautam, Neeraj Hans, Jugal Kishore Pant, Akash Negi, Ajay Mishra, Sagar Ghaskoti, Kanchan Rawat, Leela Payal, Ajay Rawat, Mandeep Singh, Shweta Chand,and Shagun Uniyal, all from Uttarakhand.

All the singers hailing from the various districts of Uttarakhand with modest background performed impressively giving their best melodious and mesmerising songs entertaining the audience to the hilt.

After lot of mental churning , mutual discussion and weighing of the performance of the singers, the judges gave the first prize to Mandip Singh Negi with the second and third prizes going to Kanchan Rawat and Leela Payal.

The fourth and fifth prized went to Ajay Mishra and Jugal Kishore Pant.

All the mesmerising songs were sung in Garhwali and Kumaoni dialects with no one being from Jaunsaar Bhabar, Uttarakhand.

The awards ( trophy) were delivered to the winners by the judges and the organisers Chandan Singh and Brijesh Bhandari.

The Pandavas Orchestra was the best attraction of the entire show who made the audience dance to their mesmerising musical Pahadi legacy cultural musical tunes.

The orchestra compromising of the women and men singers in their traditional Uttarakhand’s attire posing as the Pandavas performing on the stage impressively entertaining one and all with their significant attractive musical performance with eminent singers. There were initially tickets of Rs. One thousand each booked via online which was later in reduced to Rs. 500 per ticket.

The musical band was directed by Deepak Rawat giving its enthralling music encouraging the audience to dance. The Deepak Rawat band added extra flavour to the entire days show making it magnificently entertaining.

The first prize winner was handed over the cheque of Rs. 51 thousand rupees , Rs. 31 thousand cheque to second winner and Rs 21 thousand to the third winner.
