In Yamkeshwar tehsil, under the leadership of District Panchayat member Kavita Dabral, the local people submitted a memorandum to the SDM against illegal liquor, demanding immediate action.

Yamkeshwar (Pauri Garhwal): Today, hundreds of local people gathered in Yamkeshwar tehsil under the leadership of Gumal village district panchayat member Kavita Dabral.

Here the local people raised slogans and submitted a memorandum against the Excise Department, Police Department and District Administration against the illegal liquor being sold in the area.

Due to consumption of illicit liquor, people in many villages are not only falling ill but are also dying untimely.

He warned the administration that if the sale of illegal liquor is not stopped soon, the people of the area will soon surround the Pauri headquarters. He said that today the entire state is mired in corruption under BJP rule.

Meanwhile, Vinod Dabral, former district panchayat member and current Congress Kotdwar district president, attacked the government and said that ever since the BJP government came to power, corruption has reached its peak in the state.

He warned that if the strike continued, a fierce protest would be launched against it.
