The master mind behind UKSSSC cheating scam Hakam and his associate arrested by Uttarakhand police
The Uttarakhand Police Department’s STF and Dehradun Police have today jointly arrested the mastermind of the Uttarakhand cheating and appointment scam Hakam Singh and his associate Pankaj Gaur for asking Rs. 12 to 15 lakhs from the candidates of the UKSSSC assuring them of getting their papers cleared for the posts of lower category employees. Infamous as Cheating scamster or Cheating Mafia of Uttarakhand Hakam Singh has his connections in Uttar Pradesh as well with his counterparts.
In view of the exams to be conducted on 21 September by the UKSSSC for graduate applicants for some posts in Uttarakhand government, the Uttarakhand police STF constituted for keeping a tab on the cheating gangs, reportedly got some clue from their reliable sources.
The police became proactive and got a clue that one person namely Pankaj Gaur is directly contacting the prospective candidates who are interested and asking for money.
The police laid a trap and arrested both Pankaj Gaur and Hakam Singh who on indepth interrogation finally admitted that they were taking the said huge amounts from the candidates appearing for the recruitment exams and incase they failed they were given assurance for getting them passed in other exams for other government jobs against the amount taken from them.
Both the culprits have been arrested and FIR registered against them under relevant cheating in exams sections of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
The money was demanded from the six candidates reveal the news reports.
It may be recalled that Hakam Singh was earlier arrested during the tenure of Trivendra Singh Rawat in August 2022 in a massive cheating and recruitment scam of UKSSSC and according to the news reports the then Trivendra Singh Rawat CM’s government had allegedly arranged him a helicopter for personal use, probably his wife being ill she was ferried to a hospital in the chopper. Hakam Singh Rawat was then the District Panchayat Member of BJP from Uttarkashi and a mastermind behind the massive cheating scam. He was expelled from the saffron party thereafter as his pictures with the various BJP leaders, CM and even the then DGP, Uttarakhand appeared in social media showing his proximity among the higher ups in the government and administration.
