Government deserves congratulations for historic revision of GST slabs: Gurcharan Singh

New Delhi. Welcoming the major amendments made to the “GST Slabs” during the 56th meeting of the GST Council, attended by representatives of all state governments, Federation of All India Vyapar Mandal Delhi State President Gurcharan Singh “Raju” said that this decision is truly historic.
According to him, this change will not only bring relief to the common man but also significantly reduce the long-standing difficulties faced by the trading community in relation to GST.
Singh further stated that the Federation has consistently been informing the government about discrepancies in the GST system, and several of their demands have now been accepted. For this, he expressed gratitude to the Central Government.
He emphasized that by revising the tax slabs and reducing 12% and 28% categories to 5% and 18%, the government has taken a landmark step. This move will prove beneficial for both traders and consumers, as it will ease trade operations and positively impact the standard of living of ordinary citizens.
Expressing hope, Singh added that in the future, with continued consultation with the Federation and traders, the government will introduce more such relief measures.
