THE Reporting team of the Lallan Top News channel which had gone for the coverage of the protest against the Staff Selection Commission regarding paper leaks etc were taken into custody first and then release after the senior police officer while giving their clarification said that it happened by mistake. Actually the reporter of the Lallan Top News channel namely Rajat Pandey and Cameraman Rajat Ali who had gone for the coverage of the protest which is their constitutional rights were first stopped by the police stationed there and then snatched their ,camera, mobile phone and Mike on 24 th August. When the Lalan Top team contacted the concerned authorities their detention / arrest was confirmed said the Lallan Top News portal. What is ironical here that knowing very well that they are from the News Channel Lalan Top with their hand Mike revealing the name and despite the clarification by the covering crew if LT, they were detained in the same bus in which the protesting students, youths were taken under arrest. The bust from the protesting spot was taken to the police station. Then the senior police officers were contacted by the Lalan Top management and wer told that it all happened in the rush of arrest under confusion. For much information the Last Top contacted the DCP Nidhi Wilson , of the Central Delhi on whose instructions the protesting students were arrested. However, it is said that under confusion with the protestors the Lalan Top team was also arrested. Whereas the Lallan Top News report said that the police had also taken the Mike, camera and report and crew under detention knowing very well that they were the journalist team covering the protest.
