Two died due to landslide on Gangotri Highway near Dabrani in Garhwal, Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand during monsoons there is havoc everywhere. Plying vehicles or walking on motor roads is a grave risk with unpredictable boulder falls’ having become a very common fatal phenomenon.

There have been hundreds of such tragic cases happening in Garhwal and Kumaon Uttarakhand including Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh where boulder falls have smashed plying vehicles on roads and killed occupants if the cars on the spot, most brutally.

In Jammu and Kashmir two army bravehearts were killed when huge boulders plunged on their Army vehicle smashing it badly.

In Uttarakhand several deaths occured in such cases when heavy stones fell on running vehicles on Mussourie road and in Kumaon division.

Recently the other day yet another tragedy occured on Gangotri national highway near Dabrani where two men who were passing through a destroyed portion of the road cautiously meeting the fatal end, when the landslide rubble fell on them surreptitiously.

The traumatised brother of the dead accused the men at work on the road for not having stopped them from going through.

He said – had they stopped them passing through the rubble on the road – their lives could have been saved.

After their tragic demise, the JCB clearing the boulders and rubble on the road was seen hitting the dead bodies ruthlessly, with the staff after objection by the brother of the deceased picking his body underneath the JCB safely.

The video has been posted in social media which is going tremendously viral.
One facebook user Ajay Rawat has posted this picture on FB writing in Hindi that in the one hand the two youths have died in an avalanche / landslide on Gangotri Highway , the two senior leaders are posing for photograph in fring of a chopper that took them to Gairsain assembly and brought back.
