The situation of crime in Uttarakhand, especially in its state capital Dehradun is not satisfactory with incidents of crimes on the spike.
In the recent past several videos of intoxicated youths fighting and trying to run over another in a car have gone viral in social media including a murder of a youth in Dehradun, several raids in prostitution rings active in hill stations , issues of women safety at risk etc.
In majority of these crimes the culprits are from the neighbouring state of Uttar Pradesh.
As a sequel to these ongoing crimes and incidents of murder another young man belonging to the ruling party holding a post in BJP youth wing earlier has been killed by gunshots of a criminal from Uttar Pradesh.
According to the latest news under the jurisdiction of Prem Nagar Police station a young boy aged merely 22 years namely Rohit Negi succumbed to the bullet fired by allegedly one Ajhar Tyagi.
It is believed that the deceased Rohit Negi was earlier the BJP Yuva Morcha chief of the Sahaspur Division of the youth wing of the saffron party.
The police station in charge Mohan Singh is not revealing the incident due to the reasons best known to him, maybe he is busy in the case said one of the reporters whose phone calls were not responded to.
The news report reveals that while Rohit Negi was in his Bolero vehicle under the Prem Nagar Police station vicinity all of sudden two persons came there on a motorcycle and intermittently fired on Rohit Negi, killing him instantaneously. The murder took place at Manduvaalla Gaon late night.
After the incident when Rohit was taken to the nearby hospital he was declared brought dead.
The police is investigating the case and the dead body has been sent for post mortem.
This hot bloody incident of this murder of a 22 year old young boy Rohit Negi unambiguously reveals that Dehradun despite being the state capital with the police in good quantam has definitely become a safe haven for criminals from neighbouring Uttar Pradesh in particular with its demography at stake and crime graph on the spike.
