The 38 state minister rank holders of Uttarakhand nominated recently will get a consolidated monthly salary of Rs 45000, Rs 80000 for hiring cars, private secretary, a peon, two free Air travels etc in a month

The thirty eight Vice chairman of various corporations, Boards, Councils etc of Uttarakhand holding the state ministers rank appointed few days ago have won a lottery ticket with first prize indeed as the salary, perks, transport charges, full fledged staff and other facilities amount to approximately more than Rs 2.5 lakhs a month on each ” DAYITWADHARI” state minister rank holder in a state which is already running on fiscal deficit of more than 70 thousand crores paying thousands of crores as interest against the massive loans taken from several world banks and financial agencies.
According to the latest news reports the state government will give a monthly consolidated salary of Rs.45000 to these state ministers ” Dayitwadharies” and Rs 80 thousand for hiring a private trasport ( Car) in case the government is not able to deliver them the official car.
In addition to these facilities they are entitled for a personal private secretary and a peon the salary to be borne by the state government or amount to be allocated to to hire them .
The ministerial department of Uttarakhand government has already issued an official circular/ order of their monthly salary, transport charges and expenses on a peon, office and secretary ( personal).
These entire expenses shall be borne by the concerned corporation/ Board/ Council of the state government with regard to the chairman/ Vice chairman or in any other official posts.
Apart from the monthly salary of Rs 45OOO, Rs 800OO for hiring a car, a provision has also been made to bear the expenses of the mobile telephone bills including two free Air fare travels and a residential rent etc in a month.
The state government has also fixed Rs 15000 per month for a personal assistant/ Secretary and Rs. 12000 for a peon on monthly basis.
In addition to this there is also a provision of staying in government luxurious guest houses or Uttarakhand Niwas in Delhi or guest houses of states during their visits or official engagements etc the bill for which shall also be borne by the government.
If we broadly calculate the expenses being spent on these state minister rank holders every month the amount of several lakhs, even crores is being spent on them and their staff, transport, phone, state and residential accomodation etc the question arises – Are they really worth it in a state like Uttarakhand which is already witnessing massive migration with thousands of villages becoming ghost villages and existing massive unemployment with alleged corruption on the rise including builders, mining mafias, land sharks and liquor network spreading manifold to earn revenue to bridge the gap of fiscal deficit not worrying whether families are being spoiled and social fabric of the state disintegrating massively.
