The Communist Party of India, Delhi State Council view’s One Lakh crores’ Budget of Double Engine Delhi Government a Jumla budget.
What is presented in budget have no economic foundation.
Budget on education is reduced to 20%. It will badly effect the public education. It should have been increased to the extent that free public education is accorded to all Delhi students from Primary education to Post graduate education.
The Delhi state CPI states that Health Sector budget has also been reduced which will be taking toll of already under pressure public health services of Delhi. Already Per capita hospital beds , Doctors and paramedical staff is in great shortage said the statement.
CPI is of the view that health budget should have been increased to the level so that more government multi super specialty hospitals could have been opened in all districts of Delhi.
BJP during election campaign which promised to provide subsidized Rs 500/- cooking gas cylinders is also being held up giving the unambiguous impression of this budget being a Jumla Budget.
Capital expenditure is reduced in this budget that will negatively affect the infrastructural development of Delhi assembly there already exists massive unemployment among Delhi Youth .Road map to provide relief to them missing in this budget. CPI is of the view Rs 3000/- PM unemployment allowance to all unemployed youth of Delhi should have been declared in this budget.
