Holi celebrated at Sylven Chef , Vasant Kunj by the members of Uttarayini a reputed organisation of senior class 1 officers
The reputed organisation of class 1 officers in central and state governments Uttarayini has celebrated Holi at Sylven Chef banquet and restaurant at Vasant Kunj , New Delhi yesterday with the serving and retired officers and their family members enjoying the celebrations to the hilt. Holi festival grants us opportunity to meet old friends and exchange pleasantries including giving up the tensions for a while and embracing each other with the feeling to spread Amity, brotherhood and harmony. The officers many of them superannuated danced to the tunes of the Uttarakhand ‘s mesmerising Garhwali and Kumaon songs exhibiting their dancing skills. Those who attended this pre Holi celebrations were at Sylven Chef at Vasant Kunj were eminent personalities viz. Dr. Titiyal (Retired Eye Surgeon from AIIMS), Padmasree recipient , Dr. Lakhera, Irwin Hospital, serving and retired Class – 1 officers of Govt of India, IG CRPF Manoj Dhyani, Shri K.N. Suyal, DIG (Retd.) BSF. B.M. Sundriyal, Scientist, DRDO, Session Judge Shri Prem Barthwal, Colonel Barthwal (Retd.) a social worker in Uttarakhand, Shri K.C. Pandey, President of Vishwa Brahman Mahasangh, Subhash Badola, retired senior class one officer in Ministry of Civil Aviation and many others. Padmasree Dr. Titiyal is an outstanding Eye surgeon who has recently retired as the chief of the All India Institute of Ophthalmic Sciences. When he retired the doctors were literally in tears and he too on the day of the farewell party.
