Controversial Finance minister of Uttarakhand in real mess after demands for his resignation pouring in for his “anti Paharee” statement

The controversial finance and parliamentary affairs minister of Uttarakhand Prem Chandra Aggrawal is in real dock being accused for his anti Pahari posture and statement in Uttarakhand assembly literally abusing the citizens of Uttarakhand with Pahaadi origin as “Saale Pahadee” while answering to the speech of governor on the Uttarakhand BUDGET. There are demonstrations, candle marches and his effigy burning processions taking place in various parts of Uttarakhand including people writing against him in social media tremendously. UTTARAKHAND’s finance minister also infamous for publicly thrashing a person of his own party in Rishikesh a year or more ago bringing bad name to the party. Then thousands of the people of Rishikesh including his own partymen had protested on Rishikesh streets demanding action against him, but nothing happened. The latest incident started after Prem Chandra Aggrawal’s wrangling with the senior legislature Madan Singh Bisht earlier the same day in the assembly which got subsided lateron. Prem Chandra Aggrawal while arguing with Madan Singh Bisht , the outspoken Congress MLA, charged latter with being drunk to which Bisht angrily responded that the former is a patient of high blood pressure. He also challenged Prem Chandra Aggrawal to get his medical examination done otherwise he will sue him for defamation. After this Prem Chandra Aggrawal started responding to the Governor’s address on the budget. While he was speaking he was charged by some MLA as being “anti Paharee”. The minister threw the papers on his desk saying angrily that leave aside the debate on budget, I will talk first on Paharee. He said what is this Pahadee Pahadee. Pahadee desi kya , kya saale Pahadiyon ke liye hi bana hai ye Uttarakhand, Uttarakhand mein kahan Pahadee hain , ye sab Madhya Pradesh , Rajasthan , bahar se to aaye hain , kya Pahadee Pahadee laga rakha hai. This video of Aggrawal leaked out and became viral in social media with the inhabitants of Uttarakhand up in arms against him. The chief minister intervened when the heated arguments were going on between Prem Chandra Aggrawal and Madan Singh Bisht in the assembly saying shame to them adding that the such debates in Uttarakhand assembly first comes to the notice abroad then in Uttarakhand. It may be recalled that former speaker and currently the finance minister of Uttarakhand Prem Chandra Aggrawal have several blots on his reputation. While the speaker of Uttarakhand Assembly, he was accused of favouring his relatives and near and dear ones given them jobs in the assembly violating the norms. In another incident he had publicly thrashed in broad daylight a person of his own party, One Negi , on Rishikesh roads which went viral and and one of his followers Paswan from Bihar has been elected as Mayor of Rishikesh on BJP ticket whose supporters have also publicly given a derogatory statement against Garhwalies with the video going viral in social media. What is interesting to note here is the fact that despite so much of charges against the finance minister right from the days of his being the speaker of the assembly he never resigned nor the chief minister Dhami ever took him to ride/ task. He rather protected him. Even the assembly speaker had shown the door to the MLA Lakhpat Butola who condemned and raised objection over the anti Paharee attitude of the finance minister instead of taking the minister to task. This is indeed worrisome.
