Arvind Kejrival summons Punjab MLAs and ministers to Delhi. Will Bhagwant Mann be replaced ?
After losing from New Delhi assembly constituency and his government going out of power in Delhi, the Aam Admi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has summoned the entire cabinet and the state lawmakers to Delhi to deliberate on the Punjab government’s achivement, its failures and regarding non fulfilment of its pre poll promises including assesment of its leadership’s capacity and capability.
However, the Bhartiya Janata Party leaders have already started setting a narrative that after losing from Delhi Arvind Kejriwal has convened this meeting to assess the political situation and minds of the party legislatures and build a conducive environment to ensure that majority of the Punjab legislatures elect him the leader of the Punjab replacing the incumbent chief minister Bhagwant Mann etc.
There are reports that since Bhagwant Mann has not fulfilled his pre poll promises of giving one thousand Rupees to every women of Delhi and employment monthly emoluments, the Aam Admi Party has suffered badly losing drastically as Delhi citizens thought that the promise of Arvind Kejriwal to give every woman Rs. 2100 too will not be fulfilled.
Kindly recall that the Bhartiya Janata Party and Congress have during Delhi elections reminded the Delhi electorates of the Punjab government backing out of its pre poll promises and betraying the people thus giving an impression that the Delhi AAP will also not fulfill its promises said the BJP and Congress leaders.
There are also indications that calling of the Punjab MLAs and ministers meeting after the AAP’s debacle in Delhi has made the Punjab chief minister worried about his fate.
There are also reports that the national convenor of AAP Kejrival is interested to come to Rajya Sabha to be active in the national politics in case his priority to become the Punjab CM fails.
Meanwhile, the Congress party has now come directly against AAP in Punjab as well as at the national level after playing a vital role as a spoiler for Aam Admi Party in Delhi elections defeating it on 14 seats solidly.
It may be recalled that in Delhi, the Congress party has adversely impacted the AAP leading to the direct defeat of its candidates in atleast 14 constituencies where had the Congress candidates not contested and supported AAP, the latter would have won on 36 seats with BJP coming to minority said the political analysts.
Even Arvind Kejrival and other senior leaders of AAP like Manish Sisodia , Satyendra Jain, Somnath Bharti etc have lost from their constituencies with a little margin but had Congress not contested they would have won with a good margin.
Some political analysts say that the main reason for calling this meeting is also to ensure that the blunders committed in Delhi are not repeated in Punjab and all the pre poll promises implement at the earliest to restore confidence in the electorates and if need be the incumbent leadership may change as well.
The senior Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa has said that the Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is already in touch with the Home minister.
When asked about the reason behind calling this meeting Sanjay Singh said that it will be known only after the meeting concludes.
