Badeth Lions and Rookies Uttarakhand reached the finals of the men’s category
The semi-final matches of the 5th Knockout T20 Cricket Tournament organized by Devbhoomi Sports Mahakouthig Foundation (National Registered) Organization were played at Chilla Sports Complex, Vasundhara, Delhi today on 15 December 2024.
The first match was played between Badeth Lions and UK Risers-XI Faridabad.
According to Rajendra Rawat (General Secretary) Playing first, UK Riser-XI Faridabad was all out after scoring just 93 runs. Badeth Lions achieved this target by losing only 2 wickets and easily won the match by 8 wickets and reached the final of the knockout tournament. Anil Rawat became the man of the match due to his deadly bowling (4 wickets in 4 overs).
In the second semi-final, Rookies Uttarakhand batted first against Dabang Utida and were all out for just 108 runs.
In this nail-biting low scoring match, Rookies Uttarakhand defeated the opposition team by 5 runs due to their experience and sharp bowling and secured their place in the final for the second consecutive time. Saurabh Bisht won the Man of the Match title with his lethal bowling (3 wickets).
In the women’s semi-final match, Hunar Omen cricket team made 76 runs by losing 5 wickets in 12 overs. Nanda Devi U.K.J.V.R. Law Firm while chasing the target could make only 47 runs by losing 7 wickets in 12 overs and had to face defeat in the match.
Player of the match Rewa took 3 wickets and also scored 15 runs.
Being a league match, the final match was played between Nanda Devi and UK Lines Gold on the basis of average. Nanda Devi team batted first and scored 97 runs in 10 overs.
The knockout T20 cricket tournament started on 10 November 2024 at Yamuna Sports Complex with a grand cultural program. All the members of the organization participated in this tournament (in which 36 men’s and 4 women’s teams participated) with great enthusiasm and the foundation, with its tireless efforts, has conducted all the matches so far peacefully.
Now the final match will be held on 22 December (Sunday) at Jamia Millia Pataudi Sports Stadium with a colourful cultural programme.
