Former CM Harish Rawat lifts the heavy fodder package on his back with women laughing in Kedarnath Assembly constituency

The former chief minister of Uttarakhand and Congress Working Committee member, the highest decision making body of his party, Harish Rawat despite being 75 years of age is tremendously mobile and is busy in campaigning in the Kedarnath assembly segment of Garhwal, Uttarakhand these days.

The campaigning came to an end yesterday evening but Rawat is busy meeting electorates of Kedarnath especially women even lifting their fodder packages on his back and women clicking his pictures.

The former chief minister of Uttarakhand is known for throwing parties of delicious Uttarakhand meals, fruits etc and trying his hand on frying Samosas or Bhaturas or cooking tea in Dhabaas with his supporters recording videos and then posting in social media making them viral.

Today, Harish Rawat was seen lifting the heavy fodder package on his back reminiscing nostalgia of his childhood days when he used to carry the grass packages in his back for domestic animals said Harish Rawat.

Harish Rawat despite being a septuagenarian likely to cross 75 years of age is extremely active usually busy in Dharnas, padyatras , road shows and meeting people interacting with them and active in social media Facebook and X posting his posts regularly including his videos, several of them going viral.

For the last few days he was busy in campaigning in Kedarnath Assembly by poll and so were others party leaders. After the campaigning came to end yesterday evening Rawat is meeting the electorates personally and appealing for votes in favour of party candidate the former MLA Manoj Rawat.

Today Rawat saw few women carrying their fodder packages for domestic animals . He requested them to hand over the fodder package to him so that he can also experience picking them on his back.

The women laughed but agreed to see the former chief minister of Uttarakhand lifting the fodder package and carrying them behind his back with the former taking his video and laughing.

The local political leaders accompanying Rawat discouraged Rawat but he insisted on carrying it on his back reminiscing the youthful days when he used to carry the fodder packages in his back regularly for the domestic animals.

Rawat posted the video on his Facebook timeline and wrote in Hindi : I felt kinship with the bundle of Madua Chillua (Paral) in #Silla_Baman village. #In childhood, I used to carry this Manduva grass on my back to home and help my mother.
