THOUSANDS OF FURIOUS UTTARAKHANDIS MARCH TO PARADE GROUND AT DEHRADUN DEMANDING CONCRETE LAND ACT AND 1950 MOOL PRAMAN PATRA UNDER UKD BANNER

The concrete land act and 1950 citizenship act are two most important issues of Uttarakhand that has rallied around thousands of Uttarakhandis irrespective of their political and ideological affiliations bringing them on one platform against the saffron party state government not once but on several occasions.

The impressive rally held at Dehradun parade ground with thousands of men, women, youths and students matching on foot holding the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal flags, play cards and banners in their hands raising slogans against the state government demanding immediate implementation of Concrete land act and 1950 basic citizenship act has not only challenged the ruling BJP state government but also other political parties of the state.

This impressive rally of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal has after several years exhibited its real power of people’s support on two most convincing issue of Uttarakhand which has affected each and every Uttarakhandi.

After the state gained separate existence on November 9 th, 2000 after 43 sacrifices and thousands of Uttarakhand movement activists going to jail and suffering tremendous oppression by the then Mulayam Singh Yadav government including the dreaded 1994 Mujaffarnagar tragedy, the two national political parties Congress n BJP have ruled Uttarakhand alternatively with ten chief ministers leading the hilly state.

The first regional party of Uttarakhand established with the sole aim to seek a separate Uttarakhand state had done its best to seek the separate state, de annexing it with Uttar Pradesh but unfortunately due to one reason or the other, especially taking a wring decision by boycotting the first elections of Uttarakhand , the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal despite having widespread impact could not make is presence felt in political corridors of Uttarakhand with the regional party suffering from internal squabbles and even facing division.

However, it is for the very first time that UKD has been successful on the issue of Concrete Land Act and 1950 citizenship act demands , enabling all political parties and their activists supporting and being the part of it in the yesterday’s widespread protest demonstration at Parade ground in large numbers under its banner and flag.

The thousands of people holding UKD flags, play cards , raising slogans demanding concrete land act for Uttarakhand including 1950 mool pranaam patra marching several kilometres till Parade Ground to participate in a massive rally has infact rejuvenated and reactivated the party having become Dormant earlier.

This massive rally has indeed opened doors for the electorates of Uttarakhand to join the first regional party of Uttarakhand which was formed by stalwarts like Uttarakhand Gandhi Indramani Badooni, Jaswant Singh Bisht, Professor Pant, Mr. Tripathi , Kashi Singh Airy, Pritam Singh Pawar and others. The ruling political dispensation Bhartiya Janata Party and its government is to primarily be held responsible for the entire mess in Uttarakhand especially for opening the ceiling on the sale purchase of more than 12.5 acres of land by outsiders when Trivendra Singh Rawat was the CM and till date despite several massive protest demonstrations and more than fifty percent land allegedly having been sold to ultra rich over the previous years , the saffron party government has shown much interest in hurriedly implementing the Uniform Civil code legislation but not the Concrete land act despite several assurances and public commitments by the incumbent chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

The national organising secretary of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal journalist turned activist n politician Ashutosh Negi has said : CM Dhami ji, respecting the public sentiments, return our original residence, implement strong land law in the state and on 9 November 2024, withdraw the idea of imposing UCC, a black law that harms the indigenous people, on us, otherwise the next “Tandav” will be more “huge” and full of “anger”.
