DCIL Organizes Beach Cleaning Drive at Tenneti Park, Visakhapatnam under Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2024
A beach cleaning drive was organized at Tenneti Park, Visakhapatnam under Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2024 for promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sustainability. During the event, employees from DCIL and local communities participated to remove waste and litter from the beach, ensuring a cleaner and healthier coastline. During the drive, the DCIL employees along with local communities worked together to clean the beach and collected approximately 200 kilograms of garbage, including plastic waste, debris, and other pollutants. The effort was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of keeping our coasts clean and promoting a culture of environmental responsibility.
The beach cleaning initiative aligns with DCIL’s ongoing efforts for a swacchta abhiyan towards clean environment and reduce beach pollution. This initiative is part of a series of activities DCIL has planned under the SHS 2024 campaign, demonstrating its dedication to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
The execution of these programs is being meticulously overseen by Dr. M. Angamuthu, IAS, Chairman of DCIL & VPA, and Sri Durgesh Kumar Dubey, IRTS, MD & CEO of DCIL, ensuring their successful implementation and impactful outreach. Further, the activities conducted as part of Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2024 reaffirms DCI’s commitment to support government initiatives and to contribute to the betterment of society through meaningful actions aimed at preserving the environment.
The DCIL Beach Cleaning drive at Tenneti Park, Visakhapatnam saw enthusiastic participation of all the employees of DCIL , including Sri Durgesh Kumar Dubey MD & CEO, Captain S Divakar, Chief General Manager (CGM), E Kiran,Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Dr P.K Sethi, Head of Human Resource (HOD) HR along with other Heads of Departments (HODs) of DCIL. The collective effort showcased DCIL’s dedication to making a positive impact on the community and the environment.
