INTERNATIONAL SHOOTER AND COACH JASPAL RANA AND WINNER OF 5 PRESIDENT GOLD MEDALS FOR BRAVERY LALIT MOHAN NEGI FELICITATED AT A GLITTERING EVENT IN NEW DELHI

The Uttarakhand lok Manch yesterday evening felicitated internationally renowned athelete Jaspal Rana and a brave police officer in Delhi police special cell Lalit Mohan Negi for their outstanding contribution in their respective fields during their career in shooting sport and countering the hardened criminals and terrorists safeguarding our vulnerable society from the dreaded criminals and anti social elements in a glittering function at Andhra Bhawan Lodhi Colony.

The entire credit for organising such a grandeur event goes to social activist and leader Brijmohan Upreti. Jaspal Rana is an outstanding shooter of global level having been credited for winning 6 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals in Asian and Commonwealth Games, 2 gold and 1 silver medals in World Cups and multiple medals, including gold in world competitions having also been the recipient of prestigious Padma Shree and Dronacharya awards at the hands of successive presidents of India including bringing two back to back Bronze medals for India through his disciple shooter Manu Baker in Paris Olympics 2024 of whom he was the personal coach.

The superannuated Assistant Commissioner of Police Lalit Mohan Negi had a chequered career as a brilliant and brave officer synonymous with dedication and sincerity in Delhi police having eliminated 47 terrorists and gangsters including Pakistani terrorists in 33 encounters. There was thunderous applauses when both these outstanding personalities were garlanded, presented trophies and shawls lauding their outstanding contribution in the field of shooting and killing criminals / terrorists to safeguard our nation. Apart from this very contribution Negi is running a a full fledged ambulance equipped with all life support medical equipments with a driver and paramedic at his village Kolagarh in Pauri Garhwal for giving medical treatment to those who get ill in their village having no source of transportation to the local hospitals etc.

The other leading personalities of Uttarakhand former DGP Coast Guard and currently member of National Disaster Management Authority Rajendra Singh, DIG ( Recruitment) CISF Manoj Dhyani, Assistent Commissioner of Police Rajendra Singh Bisht, Prem Singh Negi, SHO , Sandeep Sharma, sr. advocate and secretary general of Delhi High Court Bar Council, Mr. Khati crime journalist from NBT , Councillors Mr. Panwar and Geeta Rawat former Councillor, Vinod Nagar, journalists Sunil Negi, editor UK Nation News, Charu Tiwari, Vyomesh Jugran, Chandra Mohan Papnai Harish Rawat all journalists, Anil Negi, Secretary Garhwal Heroes Football Club, the actors of Sanskar movie including its directors namely Rajesh Malgudi, Mr. Rawat and Raju Negi etc were also felicitated on this ocassion.

The three senior doctors and surgeons also felicitated on this ocassion were Dr. Shard Pandey Neuro Surgeon, RMLH, Dr. Birbal Singh Panwar and Dr. B. C. Lakhera.

In addition , renowned Uttarakhandi actors Rakesh Gaur, Dr. Satish Kaleshwari, Geeta Gusain Negi, Mr. Thangriyal, Kushal Singh Rawat were also honoured by Uttarakhand Lok Manch on this ocassion.

The chief guests were honoured by the Delhi High Court Secretary General Sandeep Sharma and Brijmohan Upreti including members of the Uttarakhand Lok Manch team. Speaking on the ocassion Jaspal Rana gave the credit for his achievements to his father Narayan Singh Rana and his admirers , the common public who have always been the source of his uprising in sports bagging Gold, silver and Bronze for the country in Asian, Commonwealth and other World competitions including Olympics two medals through Manu Bakar. He thanked the organisers of this grandeur event especially Brijmohan Upreti and Sandeep Sharma and felicitating him in the presence of such a large gathering of Uttarakhand community.

The event was a grand success with the participation of hundreds of people from cross section of the society from Delhi and NCR with delicious dinner of Uttarakhand’s delicacies.

The event was commenced after lightening of the lamp by Rajendra Singh, Member NDMA, former DGP Coast Guard, Manoj Dhyani DIG CISF, ACP Rajendra Singh Bisht, journalists Sunil Negi, Charu Tiwari, Vyomesh Jugran, Chandra Mohan Papnai, Brijmohan Upreti, Brijmohan Vedwal, Dr. Pawan Maithani, General secretary, Lok Manch, U.S.Negi, Prem Singh Negi, SHO etc.
