Leopard that has entered a house in village Kathur in Kot block Pauri Garhwal trapped in a cage after nine hours

The leopard which has created quite a panic in a village named KATHUR in Patti Sithonsiun, Pauri Garhwal after entering a dilapidated house with shrubs grown all around with forest and wild life department guards and employees having fitted an iron cage at the main entrance of the room, has finally been rescued ( caged) after the incessant efforts of forest department officials and curious wait of the panic stricken villagers of Kathur. This is the third leopard ” maneater” having been trapped in this village in one and a half years. What is interesting to note is the fact that while this leopard was inside the room in village Kathur at a short distance away according to Alok Charu Negi , a villager – another Leopard was eating the flesh of a cow attacked by it. The villagers of Sithonsiun Kathur have heaved a huge sigh of relief after the leopard was captured by the forest department. The leopard is believed to have been tranquilized and will be shifted to the Zoo or some other forest area away from this periphery. The caged leopard looks weak and injured and probably entered the dilapidated house to convalesce due to weakness or injury. The leopard had yesterday entered a dilapidated house in village Kathur in Kot block . One of the inhabitants of the village saw it entering the house and informed fellow villagers. On knowing this there was panic in the entire village and the forest and wild life department was informed who came with an iron cage and with the help of the villagers fitted it on the main entrance of the dilapidated house not giving the leopard any chance to run away who too was panicked after sensing people standing in the vicinity and making noises.

Jis तेंदुए ने पट्टी सिथोंस्यूं, पौडी गढ़वाल के Kathud नामक गांव में चारों ओर उगी झाड़ियों वाले एक जर्जर घर में घुसकर काफी आतंक मचा दिया tha, aur वन एवं वन्य जीव विभाग के गार्डों और कर्मचारियों ने कमरे के मुख्य द्वार पर लोहे का पिंजरा लगा दिया tha ab वन विभाग के अधिकारियों के लगातार प्रयासों और Kathud gaon के आतंकित ग्रामीणों की उत्सुक प्रतीक्षा के बाद आखिरकार उसे बचा लिया गया (पिंजरे में बंद)। DED saal में इस गांव में फंसा यह तीसरा आदमखोर तेंदुआ है। गौर करने वाली बात यह है कि एक ग्रामीण आलोक चारु नेगी के अनुसार, जब यह तेंदुआ कुछ ही दूरी पर कठूर गांव में एक कमरे के अंदर था, तो एक अन्य तेंदुआ अपने द्वारा हमला की गई गाय का मांस खा रहा था। वन विभाग द्वारा तेंदुए को पकड़ने के बाद सिथोंस्यूं कठूर के ग्रामीणों ने बड़ी राहत की सांस ली है। माना जाता है कि तेंदुए को शांत कर दिया गया है और उसे इस परिधि से दूर चिड़ियाघर या किसी अन्य वन क्षेत्र में स्थानांतरित कर दिया जाएगा। तेंदुआ कल कोट ब्लॉक के ग्राम कठूर में एक जर्जर मकान में घुस गया था। गांव के एक निवासी ने इसे घर में घुसते देखा और साथी ग्रामीणों को सूचित किया। यह जानकर पूरे गांव में दहशत फैल गई और वन एवं वन्य जीव विभाग को सूचित किया गया, जो एक लोहे का पिंजरा लेकर आए और ग्रामीणों की मदद से उसे घर के मुख्य दरवाजे में फिट कर दिया, जिससे तेंदुए को भागने का मौका नहीं मिला। आसपास के लोगों के खड़े होने और शोर मचाने का आभास होने पर वह घबरा गई। पिंजरे में बंद तेंदुए को शांत कर दिया गया है और अब उसे इस परिधि से दूर किसी चिड़ियाघर या अन्य वन क्षेत्र में स्थानांतरित कर दिया जाएगा। पिंजरे में बंद तेंदुआ कमजोर और घायल लग रहा है और संभवत: कमजोरी या चोट के कारण होश संभालने के लिए जर्जर मकान में घुस गया tha।
