First monsoon in Patna results in deputy CM, ministers bungalow and assembly secretariat inundated in deep knee water

Due to excessive rains in Bihar and total mismanagement to control floods several bungalows of the deputy chief minister, ministers including the assembly secretariat and adjoining areas have been submerged in water entering their every room, offices and even bedroom n kitchens. in one of the coverage a television news reporter n his cameraman has shown the deputy chief minister of Bihar Mrs Renu taking a virtual meeting from her residential office inundated in floor water. Even the residence of the disaster management minister of the state have been submerged in water. According to the latest reports the Patna city’s s roads and the residential areas have been inundated with rainwater after it rained heavily for more than two hours in the evening. This is the first heavy rain during the monsoon stagnating the main and connected roads in Patna city with the Assembly secretariat n Bungalows of chief minister, deputy CM n ministers inundated in rainwater, thus exposing the municipal n flood control departments of Patna n the state government. The water level in the bungalows of deputy CM and even disaster management minister etc up to knee deep has literally exposed the department’s responsible for managing things before the monsoon. This two hours rain has in a way send warning signals of the consequences to be seen incase a full monsoon arrives in Bihar. According to the meteorological department Patna city has reported 145 mm rainfall, the highest in ten years with the residents getting up early on hearing the massive sound of cloud bursts leading heavy rain, Clogging water every making people’s lives cumbersome. Almost entire Patna was in knee deep water with people pulling up their pants up to knee crossing the roads to reach to their respective destinations. According to various news reports the areas viz Rajendra Nagar, Adalatganj, Kankernagh, Rajvanshi Nagar, Gardani Bagh, Patel Nagar etc paralysing normal lives in various parts of Patna.
