There is an extremely good news for Aam Admi Party and INDIA conglomerate including the family and friends of Delhi chief minister and national convenor of AAP as he has been granted interim bail today by Supreme Court bench till 1 st June, 2024. While granting the interim bail the Supreme Court has also said that it refuses to impose a bail condition that Arvind Kejriwal should not indulge in political activities during the period of interim bail.
The grant of interim bail is morally a defeat of Enforcement Directorate which had very strongly opposed the Supreme Court’s speculation about Arvind Kejrival getting bail as he is the duly elected CM and needs time to campaign in elections held once in five year. While strongly opposing the bail of Arvind Kejrival the ASG Tushar Mehta and ED counsel Raha hand said that this will set a wrong precedence and will amount to anathema to the rule of law and equality …. thereby creating two separate classes in the country one of ordinary class people who are bound by the rules and laws and politicians who can seek exemption from law under special circumstances getting special concessions. The right to campaign during elections is neither a fundamental right nor legal right said the ED while arguing in the court adding that no political leader in the country was accorded interim bail for campaigning in the elections. Meanwhile the Press Release of the Aam Admi Party said that it’s counsels have strongly rebutted and Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival too had raised objections to the affidavit filed by the ED against the interim bail. It may be recalled that the national convenor of AAP has not pleaded for bail but had filed the changing petitions against his arrest terming it as arbitrary and illegal against the tenets of democracy and constitution. According to Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi, both ministers in Delhi government the Supreme Court’s decision has not only granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal, but has also resulted in the victory of truth, constitution and democracy. We thank the Supreme Court for protecting the Constitution and democracy. Now dictatorship will end and that will happen only in this 2024 election. There is an appeal to the people of the country to overthrow the dictatorial regime with the power of their vote to save the Constitution and democracy wrote AAP on their X handle.
