The Congress party has slapped serious charges on the BJP led NDA government terming it an autocratic government capturing democracy through extortion and financial terrorism. It seems that as the general elections are just a month or two away , the main opposition Congress has increased its tirade against the BJP government at the centre targetting prime minister Narendra Modi. What is interesting to note is that the posts of Congress chief Mallikajun Kharge in social media platform X are not only hard hitting but lengthy too accusing the present government for its various demerits and ills. Accusing the Modi government for hoodwinking the nationalised banks Mallikarjun Kharge has questioned the ruling BJP asking whether it has ever paid income tax though it hoodwinked the Nationalised Banks to transfer Rs.65 crores of donation received by Congress and seized it through Income Tax. Accusing the ruling saffron party of receiving donations from at least thirty firms allegedly misusing various agencies Mallikarjun Kharge wrote on X that reports also indicate that some of these firms handed out a heftier amount to the BJP in the months following the searches. Continuing his tweet Mallikarjun Kharge said via a message on X : On one hand the Modi Govt wants to steal the hard earned money of people donated to the Congress party in good faith, and on the other hand it threatens corporate firms through ED, CBI, IT etc to grab lion’s share of donations ! Looting Opposition & Blackmailing donors to fill BJP’s coffers is a dark phase for our Democracy ! We shall fight this tooth and nail – Both in the court of law and in the court of the people! As if this was not enough the veteran Congress chief Kharge further posted a lengthy message on X as below :
