First time MLA from Saganer Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma is the new CM. Jolt to Vasundhara

A first time MLA from Saganer assembly constituency, having been the general Secretary of the party Bhajan Lal Sharma has been named as the chief minister of Rajasthan dashing all hopes of the former chief minister and BJP heavy weight Vasundhara Raje Scindia who had been trying her best since the last several days. The Union defence minister and chief observer if the central BJP high command Rajnath Nath Singh declared the name of the new CM after deliberating in the State Legislature Party with all the saffron party lawmakers. This announcement of the name of the first term MLA Bhajan Lal Sharma, a fresh name and face has in fact compelled entire state citizens and even political leaders, MLAs, MPs and Union ministers bite their nail. However, in Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh too the new entrants were made CM but they weren’t first time MLA and had been ministers. It may be recalled that it took almost ten days to decide over the name of the Rajasthan CM with the former CM Vasundhara Raje leaving no stone unturned to ensure that she is made the CM of the state. She had been continuously meeting the party MLAs and mobilising support in her favour and was in Delhi for three days meeting senior leaders including the national BJP chief J. P. Nadda. She was insisting in being made the CM at least for a year but of no avail. She was offered the post of the speaker but she refused the proposal. The three observers sent to Rajasthan to resolve impasse and announce the new CM were Union Minister defence Rajnath Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Mrs Saroj Pandey and Mr. Tawde, party’s general secretary. The parliamentary affairs minister Prahalad Joshi was also in Rajasthan and was closeted with the defence minister Rajnath Singh for quite some time before arriving at the consensus candidate for the top post in Rajasthan. For Sharma becoming CM of Rajasthan leaving behind big horses is like winning a jackpot. The ticket of Bhajan Lal Sharma was cut to oblige the close confidante of Vasundhara Raje and the former was given ticket from Saganer, bug he won by 48000 votes giving a huge slal on Vasundhara’s face who was forced to propose the name of Bhajan Lal Sharma for the CM’s post. Sounds interesting indeed.
