HUGE JOLT TO RAHUL GANDHI . MAY LOSE SEAT BARGAINING POWER WITH INDIA ALLIANCE PARTNERS

After the landslide victory of the saffron party in three Hindi belt states viz Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh with BRS and BJP losing Telangana, the Modi Charisma seems to be still intact and the Bhartiya Janata Party’s leadership and its rank and file fully confident of returning back to power saddle at the centre more vigorously and with greater enthusiasm in 2024 general elections.

Though first winning Karnataka in May, 2023 defeating BJP at the hustings, this time winning Telangana as well Congress has won a second Southern state but has lost majorly losing from Hindi belt states viz Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh suffering a huge rebuff, where it had ruled in two states for full five years and for 15 months in one state.

While, this massive resounding triumph of BJP has proved beyond doubt that prime minister Narendra Modi still carries behind a special trust and confidence of electorates in major states of the country, on the contrary Congress leader and Nehru Gandhi family scion Rahul Gandhi and the INDIA alliance has further pushed towards negativity. There isn’t any doubt that the saffron party government ruling at the centre since 2014 has tremendous amount of financial power, government machinery at its disposal and Modi charisma, but on the other hand Rahul Gandhi’s 3,450 kilometers of impressive Bharat Jodi Padyatra which had acknowledged overwhelming support and pan India level publicity seems to have withered out as its impact was hardly translated into votes. Not only this, but the negative impact / implications of skyrocketing price rise, unemployment, non fulfillment of pre poll promises by the BJP led NDA central government didn’t impacted these elections in five states, given BJP and its top leadership full credence for Ram Mandir construction and other issues related to majority community polarisation. The recent new experiment of the INDIA and, Rahul Gandhi for Caste census also seems to have fizzled out for the time being.

The recent positive role played by prime minister Narendra Modi and Uttarakhand government in safely evacuating the 41 laborers from Silkyara tunnel also played a pivotal role in generating voters to vote for BJP apart from Prime minister’s personal Guarantee related slogan.

It may be recalled that prime minister Narendra Modi had addressed 14 massively attended public meetings each in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and five in Chattisgarh and had appealed people to vote, against massive corruption let loose by Congress governments in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and implementation of the Ladli scheme on mass scale in Madhya Pradesh in the middle of the election apart from several new announcements and concessions.

In one of his public meetings the prime minister had even gone to the extent of appealing to voters to press the EVM button so hardly in order to stringently punish the opposition parties thinking that they are hanging them.

There was lot of hue and cry on this statement of his by the angered opposition but after the results of three states were declared, the BJP’s massive triumph has proved beyond doubt that the electorates have undoubtedly pressed the EVM button hard voting for the saffron party.

On the other hand the Congress party leaders are not able to digest this unexpected defeat with hundreds of workers protesting at AICC office on the day of the result declaration raising slogans and holding play cards saying that EVM machines have been allegedly fudged or misused massively .

The greatest loss of Congress defeat in these three states would be that it will lose the bargaining power in INDIA in terms of becoming its nucleus and claiming maximum seats in states during the finalization of parliamentary seats during the national elections of 2024.
