My fight is not against Allopathic system of medicines but against those who sell Rs 2 medicine for Rs 2000 – RAM DEV
Patanjali Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has withdrawn his charges against the Allopathic system of medicine seeking apology after the controversy erupted nationally with the IMA chief Jagadish Lele writing to prime minister Narendra Modi to initiate strong action against him and had also threatened the Swamy to apologise publicly or face the legal formation suite of Rs 1000 crores two days ago.
The controversy is still on with the Indian Medical Association and Federation of Residents doctors declaring their silent protest on June 1 by wearing black bands though not hampering their work during duty hours fighting Covid 19.
The letter of Federation of Resident Doctors said : we shall hold a nationwide black day protest on June 1, without hampering the patient care to voice their protest against the illogical, unscientific, derogatory and demeaning statements of Baba Ramdev against Corona warriors and modern medicine said the letter.
Not only this, but his utterly irresponsible statement against anti Covid vaccination drive has created confusion and hesitancy among the people at the pan India level discouraging them to be innoculated said the Federation of Resident Doctors office bearers.
The statement said that despite the dedication of the corona warriors including doctors, nurses, teachers n health workers working hard with full dedication, the utterly irresponsible, inhuman and insulting statements have demoralised the medical fraternity inviting strong condemnation from various quarters.
However, despite seeking apology and clarifying that he had no personal grudge against the doctors and the Allopathic system of medicine whom I respect the most, Yoga Guru Ramdev, who most of the time remains in controversy active in media said that his campaign is not against ALLOPATHY and outstanding ( best ) doctors whom I respect the most, but our fight is against the Drug mafia who sell the medicine of Rs. Two at an inflated rate of Rs. 2000 and earn exorbitant profits by conducting unnecessary surgeries, tests n delivering costly medicines arbitrarily .
We want to stop this controversy. Baba Ramdev also accused the private hospitals of charging from Rs. 5 lakhs to 25 lakhs from patients literally making them bankrupt.
In a tweet Baba Ramdev unambiguously said that if there are life saving drugs and surgeries in Allopathic system of Medicines then the Alternative system of medicines ( Ayurveda) has concrete treatment for 98% diseases. We are in favour of integrated system of medicines said Baba Ramdev.
He catagorically said that the nation will never tolerate the insult and mockery of the Ayurveda System of medicines being labelled as pseudo science and alternative therapy with the intention to denigrate it’s reputation.
Our campaign is not against the Allopathic system of medicines or best doctors but against the prevailing drug mafia who charge the patient’s exorbitantly by conducting unnecessary surgeries arbitrarily and sell medicines at excessive rates.

Meanwhile Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has also come out openly in favour of Ayurvedic medicines and Alternative system of medicines terming it as the best treatment to cure patients since time immemorial. Though he has also catagorically said that this does not mean that he is advocating in favour of any Ayurvedic drug or company or person for commercial gains.

Ramdev has also revealed that every staff of Patanjali Yogpeeth and it’s CEO Acharya Bal Kishan had already been innoculated with Vaccines and if need be I will also get them this giving a stop to the ongoing controversy.
