Unbeatable Virat Kohli and Shreyas’s partnership led to India’s resounding victory in World Cup semi finals Avenged New Zealand after 12 yrs.

Yesterday’s semifinal cricket match with New Zealand in Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium was indeed a most cherished victory to enter the Final after 12 protracted years defeating the rival New Zealand by 70 runs.

Though the credit for this magnificent triumph goes to the entire team but unbeatable Virat Kohli and Shreya’s contribution can’t be forgotten.

They are the real heroes. This important victory to reach the finals was important for India because it has also avenged the defeat it had suffered at the hands of New Zealand in 2019 World Cup semi finals.

We should’ve forget that last time in 2011 , the Indian cricket team led by the then skipper Mahindra Singh Dhoni had won the matches on domestic pitch. The team led by Dhoni were the champions. Now everyone’s eyes are on concentrated on the final match to be held on 19 th November.

The Indian team after Wednesday’s outstanding triumph against New Zealand had reached the finals of the world Cup for the fourth time.

In 1983 the Indian cricket team had won the World Cup in a historic victory in England defeating the unbeatable West Indies.

In 2003 while the Indian team had reached the top but lost to the Kiwi’s in the final match of the World Cup. Then Subhash Ganguly was the Indian team captain. After eight long years in 2011 when India India reached the final then it defeated Srilanka winning the World Cup for the second time.

Yesterday’s semifinal between India and New Zealand kept billions of viewers glued to their seats at their homes, offices, clubs and places of get together.

More than four crores Indians watched this interesting World cup semifinal only on mobiles not to talk of the Television viewers.

India batted first scoring marvellous 397 losing 4 wickets in fifty overs. The performances of Virat Kohli and Shreyas as batsman were outstanding whereas extraordinarily dexterous bowler Shami created wonders.

While Virat Kohli proved to be an outstanding hitter scoring 117 runs, his partner Shreyas scored wonderful 105 runs. Mohammed Shami was really a boom to the Indian team who made wonders by bagging unbelievable 7 wickets. WOW.

All the three exceptional players led Indian team reach the final beating New Zealand by 70 runs with crackers being exploded and cheer parties running in every nook and corner of the country.

Kindly recall that in 2015 India had lost against Australia and in 2019 against New Zealand. India had won the toss and preferred to bat performing excellently.

India’s promising batsman Rohit Sharma scored good runs and Gill too played on attacking mode. Rohit completed his fifty sixes and the score of the Indian team crossed fifty runs in power play. While playing tremendously well Rohit was out on 47 on the bowl of Saudia while enthusiastically trying to score a six. The score continued till 84, on one wicket on power play. Thereafter Gill and Kohli helped in taking the score to 150 runs. Meanwhile, Gill completed his, half century on 41 balls compelling the New Zealanders to become desperate. After scoring 79 in 65 balls, Gill went back to pavilion suffering from cramps due to heat. However, the “Jodi” Of Virat Kohli and Shreyas did wonders. Both’s fantastic partnership led India to take its score to 200.

Virat Kohli completed his half century on 59 balls thus establishing a record of making highest score in World cup even leaving the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar behind who was till now the record holder having scored 673 runs.

Playing extremely well both Virat and Shreyas Aiyyer helped India’s score reach 250 amid cheers from the highly enthusiastic audience.

While the match was on the winning spree but after scoring his Fiftieth century Virat Kohli got the Indian score touch 300 runs finally out on 117 runs. The entire crowd especially his wife Anushka Sharma, Bollywood actress gave him standing ovation including flying kiss repeatedly with unending claps and cheers. The jubilant multimillionaire Mukesh Albany, his wife Meets Albani, son Anant Albani, Sachin Tendulkar and BCCI secretary general son of union home minister Amit Shah were also seen in the VIP gallery enthusiastically cheering.

Since there were few overs now, unbeatable Shreyas came into an offensive mode and with Rahul took the score of his team to 350.Right after this Shreyas Ayyer scored his century on mere 79 balls, an outstanding performance indeed. He was out after scoring 105 runs which included four fours and eight sixes. In the last segment came Surya Kumar on 49 th over but was bold on one run merely. In the end Like she Rahul and, Shubham ended the match. Rahul by his tremendous hitting mode helped Indian team tak it’s score to 397 mere three less to reach 400. While Rahul was not out scoring 39 runs , Shubham Gill too scored 80 runs remains not out. What a historic performance, great. Kudos.
